Hi everyone.
We just got back from WDW just this past Saturday evening.
We ALL had a blast! Especially my 5 year old.
If anyone has any questions re: WDW I will be glad to try to answer
some of them for you.

Thanks!

How were the crowds? Did you use early buses? Did you use the dinning option and what was your opinion of it? Have the rains started? We leave in 10 days. Just curious. Hope you had a great time!

I was wondering if you would be able to PM me and let me know what exactly you did with a 5 year old. :confused3 We leave the last week of June and I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. I have done a lot of planning but it would be wonderful to hear from someone what rides were good, any tips, what stroller you used, etc, etc. thank you so much in advance. I really appreciate it!! :sunny:

Did you fly and use Magical Express? What about the dining plan? Any restaurant recommendations? Where did you stay?

The crowds were okay until we got closer to the holiday weekend and especially on the weekends when they had Star Wars Weekends the crowd was heavy. We stayed at ALL STAR MOVIEs and we used the Disney transportation to go back and forth.Of course you have to give yourself time to wait for each bus, monorail etc but we didn't mind waiting. We did have the Dining plan and I feel it worked out well for us. Just make sure that you do your home work and read up on it before using it - we didn't and we really didn't understand how it worked until we started asking the CMs about it then we knew what we were supposed to get. Also its very important that you tell your waiters & waitresses ahead of time that you have the meal plan - this way they know what exactly you get such as dessert with your meals. We ended up not using up all of our snacks because we really didn't know that drinks are included as snacks. We really lucked out on the weather the whole week - we had cloudy to sunny skys the whoel week it was just very hot and humid.3 Year olds will enjoy many of the fantasyland rides. We did use the magical express. It did take forever for our luggage to arrive though. If your kids want to go to the pool while your waiting for your luggage to arrive - make sure you pack swimsuits in your carry on luggage. We didn't and of course my boys just wanted to go in the pool when we first arrived at the hotel. But couldn't until our luggage arrived. Our luggage didn't arrive until early evening. So we ended up going to MGM for a couple of hours and by the time we got back our luggage was there. We did fly and it was fine.We did eat dinner in Japan one night that was very good. I can't think of the name at the moment but when I remember it I will pass it on to you all. The new rides were wall worth the wait!
We went on Soarin' once, onlt because I am afraid of hights and if you are afraid of hights it was pretty scary to me. But the scevery was beautiful. It makes you really feel like you were flying in the air. But when you go up and over the mopuntains you can smell the pine trees and then you go over an orange grove and you can small the oranges - awesome! The Lights, Motor AAction show - was awesome as well. My kids loved that show. It just takes a while for everyone to get seated to be prepared to wait a little while before the show starts.

We leave in 10 days....FINALLY! This is first time for grandson turning 4 two days before we leave. He is barely, and I do mean exactly 40" with his shoes on. We know he will want to go on all the rides that are 40" height requirement and we thought we would be ok, but after reading some other threads about this it seems there is some inconsistency in the measuring used. I've seen more than one person say their child measured fine for one ride, but not for another ride that had the exact same min ht requirement. Did you have any experience with this?

Well my son is kind of in the same boat as your grandson. He just made it for Soarin' and for Test Track. When we were at Soarin' there was another little boy there and the CM measured him and he was only about a 1/2 inch from 40" and they would not let him on the ride. But when they measured my son his head just hit the very bottom of the measuring guide. So my son just made it on to the Saorin' ride.So maybe your grandson will just make it as well. The only ride that my son couldn't go on at all was the Dino WHirl Ride at Animal Kingdom in the Dinosaur area. We didn't even attempt to try getting on any kind of really Big Roller Coasters - like the Runaway Train or Space mountain. But my family is just not in to roller coasters as much as your family may be in to them. So I am not sure of the height requirements for those kind of rides. I hope i have answered your questions.

Thanks!
