I think the crowds will be peak then, Halloween night and the 29th are sold out now for MNSSHP. I'm bracing myself for crowds, we have tickets for the 29th.

Someone please say the week of the 24th is going to OK!!

It's going to be OK......I don't know that but you asked for it........Why do people get so twisetd over things beyond theri control?? Go with the flow and enjoy

As far as capacities, here's some of the only information we're allowed to give out (mostly because it's pretty much common knowledge anyways)

Epcot has the largest capacity, then MK, then MGM, then AK. (capacity = number of people allowed in the park before the fire marshall gets upset ;))

We were at Epcot most of day on Saturday 10/16 primarily for Food and Wine Festival. It was probably the most crowded I have seen at Epcot for anytime we have been there. Luckily after a few beers it did not seem quite so bad. However, a real change from a few years ago when first went to F & W Festival and maybe 3-4 people in line at each of the food booths, this time probably 10-12 if not more. Still, had a good time.

We're just back this afternoon. We were there the 13th through today. The crowds were horrible. We still managed to have fun, of course, but we are definitely going to be researching the slower times to go.

We've gone almost every October for the past 6 years and it's gotten progressively busier. I know this time the hurricanes figured into the equation, but sheesh!! You could barely move at any of the parks, and rides kept breaking down (TOT, RNR, Space Mtn., Pooh, Snow White all were down intermittently while we were there). We did get to do a test run on the Stitch show, so that was interesting.

Saturday night dh and I tried to find a parking space at DTD Westside and after driving around for 20 minutes, finally gave up and went back to AKL.

Crowds were most manageable during MNSSHP on the 14th -- we rode tons of rides and enjoyed the parade and fireworks.

Of all our trips, this was definitely our least enjoyable. On our family scale of 1-10, we rated this one only a 5.5 (and that's only 'cuz a bad day at Disney is still better than a good day at work!).

Interestingly, we were talking with a family on our flight home that normally does WDW but chose Universal this time. They said the parks there were practically deserted and were stunned to hear how busy WDW was. I told them they definitely made the right call this time!!

We just got back as well and we thought it was very manageable until the weekend.?? We went to Magic Kingdom and MGM on Wed. Typhoon on Thursday, Epcot on Friday and all of those were fine. Got some FPs, but waited 5 minutes for a lot of things. We did get there before the gates opened. Saturday we went to AK and it was very crowded but still walked in for Bug, Festival of LK, and got a FP for Safari with a 1 hr return. Actually, my daughter and I went to ALL 4 PARKS on Saturday! I've never done that before! AK 9-2, MGM 2-7:30, Epcot Illuminations, and hop to MK from 9:20-11:30! Yowza! We were tired!!! It was fun, though. :)

LOL!! My Brother and I, both raised as Disney Kids, now in our 30's try to do this every year when we are in the parks. Our spouses think we're insane and we're exhausted by the end of the day, but it's become a tradition. We do have rules, though, like we have to ride at least 2 rides in each park or it doesn't count. Lots of fun! Thanks for the laugh, you brought back a lot of memories for me.:rotfl:

In reading all of these threads I keep telling myself as I start to get paniced that crowd size is relative. Depends on which day you do what park and at what time and what you are comparing your wait times to.

I have begun to stop the worrying because there is nothing I can do about the crowds. We will just have to take our time and pray that the days we are in the parks are less crowded. Also, that everyone will want to go to the later in the week MNSSHP leaving the 26th to be less crowded.

I can remember back in the 70's and early 80's, when MK was the only park, and waiting 2 1/2 hours for Space Mountain was the NORM. I also remember waiting a couple hours for 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea and POC. I recall parking at TTC and waiting an hour to catch the monorail over to MK.

I have not seen WDW that "crowded" for years.

I have noticed times when the MK seems very crowded, but there are no waits for rides. What is up with that?

I am sure that peak periods are still extremely crowded though....thank goodness for fastpass and the added capacity of 3 other parks.

Just curious, how often do they run 3 trains? At Christmas? An average summer day? Thanks!:teeth:

Usually all summer, June, July and August... Thanksgiving week, Christmas Week and New Years Week and then a few random days here and there (three day weekends, etc).

Do they run 3 trains during Spring Break weeks?? I always hear how crowded it is at Spring Break time.......can't believe they wouldn't run 3 then.

Thanks LiberyBelle for your great info. :wave2:
