Missed her only because I wasn't there but think seriously if I HAD been there and SEEN her ( oh my gosh, absolutely no pun intended!) I would have had to run over, introduce myself, and hug and kiss her. If she would have let me, of course! Personal space and all that to be considered.
I would have gladly told her anything she wanted to know, taken her anywhere she wanted to go or just stood there, for crying out loud with my eyes slammed shut and my mouth likewise and shared in her experience of LISTENING TO DISNEY , and smelling it, and FEELING it with her - Holding Hands!
I would have had her feel how beautiful my children are.
Others who have read my posts know that I am a STOPPER. A clogger of paths, an impediment to traffic, a speedbump for strollers, a .... you all get the idea. I like to stop and smell the roses. Oh my gosh, that is where I would have taken her, to the rose garden.
Explaination for all this excitement:
My mother was blind.
My mother was blind and afraid.
She tried to raise us all to be cowards too.
My MOM MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH LIVING!
Her favorite sentence was "you know, I can't see."
I wish it had been "You know, I love you."
Gosh knows I KNEW she was BLIND, she only told me like 50 million times. She said I love you sometimes too, only just as an afterthought, much much less as she got older.
She wouldn't have gone to WDW if Walt himself came back from the grave and invited to walk her on his arm!
I wish I could have seen that lady. I am so proud to hear how damn brave she was. You know what? I would have gotten IN LINE to ask her for HER autograph!!!!
WAY TO GO WOMAN!!!!! :thewave::thewave:
If anybody here winds up being friends with her please promise you will pass on my admiration & congratulations!
Doggone it, I am so sorry to have missed that.
Thanks for telling us though. What a great thing to think about tonight when I am falling asleep
