Just bak home from a trip to Busch Gardens Tampa, 3 nights at HRH and Disney Cruise. I plan on doing a trip report, but if you have specific questions, I'd love to help. HRH is wonderful. We ate at Emerils, Mythos, Motown and Margaritaville. I plan to do a trip report, but it may be a while.

No specific questions - just dying to hear how your stay at HRH was!

Actually - I do have a question. Is there anywhere to pick up a quick pastery for breakfast? We're not big breakfast eaters and I usually pick up something and bring back to the room while everyone else is showering.

I've seen a picture of the lobby, and it looks like a huge lounge at one end - a couple of steps down. Is that an adults-only lounge, do you know?

And how was Mythos?

Welcome back! Sounds like you had a very full vacation:)
Did you have children with you? I would like to know how you liked Motown and what you ate?

Cant wait to read your trip report. Thanks for posting.

Curious on what you thought of Busch Gardens. Also, your thoughts on your Disney cruise if you have been on other cruise lines. My family had the worst cruise experience on Disney compared to the other two lines we have been on.

E.Jane,
If you go downthe stairway in the lobby you will see the Sunset Grille and a coffee shop. YOu can pick up pastires there.

I loved HRH--it is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in--very plush. We had a deluxe room with 2 queen beds, and a fold out sofa. The beds were covered in the softest down comforters, extra pillows, double sheeted bed. My favorite item was the JVC cd player and radio--loved listening to the cd they give out. The pool area was awesome--the slide was great, and the whole setting was so peaceful and gorgeous. It was a short stroll to Universal IOA, and Citywalk. We arrived on Sunday afternoon, and left Wednesday at noon--and never moved the car--I've never done that at Disney.

We were traveling with our daughter who just turned 10. She did Camp Lil'Rocker on Tuesday night for our dinner at Emerils--she was the only child in the program. She had fun. At Motown, we had the potato chips as an appetizer (homemade chips, covered with cheese, barbeque sauce and green onions__really good, although I wished they had served them with ranch dressing, then they would have been perfect). I had a house salad (large portion, mostly iceberg, but very good) and the chicken alfredo, which was huge--a whole grilled breast, and tons of penne pasta. DH and DD split a porterhouse steak with a baked potato. Our bill was around $50. The waitstaff and host staff were so nice and friendly. They got my daughter up to dance with them during "STop in the Name Of Love" Highly recommend this places, but the portions are massive-consider sharing.

As for BG: I wasn't impressed. We love BG Williamsburg, and it was too hot to enjoy the animals. I found traffic control to be non-existent. We stayed one-half mile from the entrance gate, and it took us 1 hour and 20 minutes to get from the park exit to the parking lot of our hotel at closing. The traffic surrounding Howl of Scream was ridiculous--at 9:15 traffic was still backed up for miles. We had lunch at Crown Colony over looking the savanah. Thought the food and view were very good. This was our 3rd disney cruise in 1 year, so we liked them, although this trip, I found I was a little disappointed in the service we received. We havent tried any other cruise lines, but probably will in the next few years.

Thanks for the info on Motown! This is on our list :)

gschmerl - A question for you, I heard that a StarBucks opened in the Sunset Grill, do they offer pastries or muffins (things like that) as well?

I'm trying to figure out where they put it

Thanks!

When you walk into the Sunset Grille, Starbucks is on the right, next to the door. I didnt notice it going in to the Sunset, but I saw it on the way out.

Fan2CSkr,
There is a Starbucks and Ice Cream Parlor. I'm pretty sure the Starbucks has pastries. The Sunset Grille always had a place right as you walk in to get pastries. IOA and US also have great bakeries inside the parks.
