We just returned last night from a week at the Poly. Great stay. Crowds were low & most rides (aside from the racecars!!!) were a walk on. Peter Pan had a 40 min wait a few afternoons when I walked by and Jungle Cruise had a 45 min wait our last morning there & fast pass wasn't set up but other than that, if there was a wait, we just used fast pass. It was pretty easy to get a spot for parades, fireworks, & we usually just called for dinner reservations the day we needed them & were able to be accomodated. Food was good although across the board, we could never find a waitress when we needed the check. After the first weekend we were there, weather was warm & sunny for the most part. Even the rainy day was very managable because it wasn't pouring & wasn't too cold. We used EMH at MK both morning & evening. Racecars still had a big line those times & Fantasyland was a bit busy but other parts of park were dead. We are spoiled now so not sure how we will go back to school vacations. Kids are getting to an age where it is harder to miss school because of so much homework to make up. Any questions???

Can you give me more details about the Poly? What type/view room did you have? How did check-in go and would you stay there again? Thanks and welcome back!!

Sounds marvelous. We are unable to take long family trips during off-season now that my DS is a Jr. in HS, non-existent lines sure sounds good to me!

Sorry disneymania, I just saw your report on the resort board. Going back to read it now. Thanks anyhow!

Hi. I got my first request, Samoa - 1st floor, quiet pool side. I was worried about the noise based on previous posts but building was so quiet that wondered if there was anyone else staying there. I would definitely request that building again because it was so close to everything & jsut perfect. My checkin person definitely wasn't Mr. Personality & room wasn't ready when we got there early but we just left bags in car & went to park. They told us to call to get room number & our key cards would be turned on. That way we didn't have to come back to front desk. I did ask if they had any upgrades & he said, "Sure". Came back with a price sheet showing normal rates I would have to pay. I think consierge would have been an extra $105/night. Didn't do it at that price. Monorail & fireworks on beach would make staying anywhere else very difficult. Because we have 3 kids that are getting older, we really would like 2 rooms next time. I think I would stay at Poly for a few nights to get in as much MK as I could & then move to 2 rooms at a moderate because of cost factor. We stayed at Cyprus Point the first night we got there & it was hard to move to one room after being in a 3 bedroom place with full kitchen, 2 king beds, big wirlpool bathtubs in both bathrooms. (all for a whopping $89 a night) May even do that next time after a few nights at Poly. Now that kids are older, we don't go back for naps anyways & really need the extra space without paying an arm & a leg. Oh, only negative was one of the pool heater burners at volcano pool was broken & so it was cooler than I like but other pool was very warm.
