Just Back-Any questions?

A little off topic, this last week when we were at DL, we were walking to DL coming from security and we passed a guy with a chef's coat on. I noticed the name "Andrew Sutton" embroidered on his coat. I asked my husband if he knew who he was, as the name sounded familiar to me, but my husband didn't know who he was either. We are not "foodies". So funny that we walked right by him and didn't know who he was! Oh well! But I did know who Brody Jenner was when we saw him at Star Tours. Haha!

Funny. I know of Chef Sutton's name very well.
Don't recall the Jenner boy name. Guess he is a son of Bruce Jenner?

Yes , he is Bruce Jenner's son. Saw him there on Thursday.
I won't forget Andrew Sutton's name now. We have eaten at CC before and really enjoyed it. We liked it much better than BB.
I hope they do the package again for the AP's where if you stay at one of the DL hotels then you get WOC dining package. That was when we ate at CC and the viewing area for WOC was really great. I'm too cheap to pay for it on my own. Kinda funny when I just said that we had to stay at a Disney hotel to get that package. But it was included in the price of the hotel stay with the AP rate! Forget that we still paid an arm and a leg to stay there. LOL!

Thanks for info on WOC dining -we have relies at CP this Friday for WOC dining. I saw there are 2 shows that night and we have to get tix to the first as DD5 will barely make the first (9pm) show- no chance of making the 2nd. Did you have 2 shows your night and if so, what time was your dining package resie and which show did you get tix for?

I feel I need to add my fantasmic experience here. We just got back yesterday, and went to the Friday 10:45pm show. The last time we went to fantasmic was a year or 2 ago, and the herding- I mean seating- process for the show is horrible.

We did the dinner to go at aladdins oasis, and got blue fast passes. The entrance is near where you board for the mark twain. We went to fireworks and headed over at 940.... It was horribly disorganized and pure chaos. The first fantasmic people couldn't get out, the later show couldn't get in, and the staff was not helping. We had to push through a massive crowd to get to the blue/yellow entrance, only to find the entrance sign was not near the entrance at all... If you have an issue standing shouldr to shoulder and not moving for 15-20 mins, just be aware this may be a problem.

The seats were good though, in the middle, up front. The seating process though, is terrible

See I'm worried about the F show seating FP or dinners. I have my son talked in to skipping it unless we feel like we want to try and see it. However I loved sitting for 3 hours watching ppl eating dinner and scoring a good spot. This new fp stuff makes me feel like (as you said) a heard of cows LOL

Yea Im not excited about the FP idea either. Its the reason I tend to avoid WOC. I was always able to find a great spot about 30-45 min before F! started just by walking around the area and being in the right spot as someone else decided to move. Not sure what I will do in June when we go. I will likely try out the FP and see how it works, but if it is anything like WOC it will make the show not worth it to me. Too bad because I really like F!.

I like WOC as well but the way the viewing area works just ruins it for me.

We are interested in the Fantasmic seating, is this a cushion on the ground? Are there any chairs or benches? We are in our 70's!! Thank you so much, Aloha, Karen

Only the Blue Bayou Fantasmic Dinner Package provides a cushion for seating, which is on the ground. The foam cushion is roughly 12-14" square and about inch thick. No chairs or benches and you are required to sit if you go with this package.

You are one of the first guests that have reported back which color FP they got with the Aladdin's Oasis dining package. Did you get to pick that color or was that the only option?

That was the only option, and were told that Aladdin's Oasis fastpasses are always in the blue section.

With Aladdin meal you got to sit? That is good to know. I wish they hadn't done this FP thing for Fantasmic. It doesn't seem like it's made the crowding better, maybe even worse. I liked it better where anyone along the fence had to sit and those behind the ropes had to stand. This pay to sit thing is real annoying, especially since it doesn't fix the problem of people crowding the walkways before the show.

From what I can tell (and observed) there are some ground seating locations in the blue and yellow FP viewing areas. I suppose they could make them standing room only if the crowds are really large, but most reports have indicated that the areas closest to the water are ground seating (so one area for yellow and one area for blue). Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like it's first come-first serve, so whether you get to view from that area depends on what area the CMs are filling when you arrive. I would have thought that would be the first areas they fill, but it doesn't sound like that is always the case.

I had been wondering about the Aladdin meal as well.

I'm still debating about seeing F! We caught part of it, well what we could see so far back with little kids, and I don't recall DD caring too much for it either way. She is older this time, but I think DS may find it scary. Not sure what to do on this one. But honestly, they're not big on shows in general. They're fidgety kids that have no attention span :)

Hi! Can you please give me some pointers for CA? We will be doing 3 days from June 4-10th (day at the parks, day off, day at the parks, day off etc.) How do the Frozen M&Gs work? Is it FP only? Do they run out after a certain time? We will probably do the magic morning at CA. Are the RSR fast passes still very popular first thing in the morning? Do you know if we are able to get the Frozen M&G fast passes while also holding fast passes for RSR?
Thanks!

Assuming no major changes coming in the near future, both of the Frozen M&G (A&E and Olaf) use a modified FP system. Yes, they are FP/Return Ticket only and they do run out. When they run out varies by day and crowds, so it's hard to say when they'll run out on any given day. If you know you want to meet A&E and/or Olaf, I would go there first thing in the morning to get the FP/Return Ticket.

We will probably do the magic morning at CA.
Just to clarify, but Magic Mornings only happen at DL. Extra Magic Hour, a perk for guests staying onsite, happen in both DL and DCA on alternating mornings (usually). Are you staying onsite?

Yes, RSR FP are still very popular, but they are lasting longer now that they are enforcing return times, limiting pre-opening line up, and have connected it to the rest of the DCA attraction FP system. They've been lasting about 1.5 to 2 hours after park opening, but when Soarin' re-opens in May it may extend the availability of RSR FPs. All reports so far indicate that the A&E FP/Return Ticket is not connected to the rest of the DCA system, so you can get that and an RSR FP.
