Just back from Disney from Jan 14-20. Stayed at Carribean
We have visited disney on the DP and without. It is no question, DW can be pricy if just paying as you go. Especially in you want the character meals.
so with the DeluxeDP you get 3 meals, 2 snacks a day. Sounds just about right, right? Well with breakfast for example, you get the meal plus 2 full size drinks AND with the refillable resort mug yet another. We just couldn't get over the beverages! Too much. you can only pack so many to take into the park because it is too heavy. Lunch the same thing, then dinner the same thing.
With the DDP we booked as many charac. meals that we could. Chef Mickey's, chip & dale, Liberty Tavern and Cinderella's royal table for dinner. (FYI the cinderella dinner for 4 adults and 4 kids, no alcohol would have cost us $351) Food was good, atmosphere nice, would I do it again, No. not worth using up 2 meals on the plan in my opinion.)
We also ate at the 50's prime time cafe which is always great!
Overall I thought the food ranged from fair to very good. The kids meals everywhere were appropriate. 3 people we travelled with are vegetarians and were accomodated at every TS restaraunt.
It is A LOT of food, but hey it is your vacation! We are returning in Dec 08 and will get the deluxedp again.
