Just Back and some thoughts/highlights

Our trip was from 7/14-7/20. We had five day hoppers with Maxpass. We haven't been since 2013 when DS(7) was 2.5. So this was trip to be able to ride all the big rides.

Stayed at ParkVue, loved how close it was. Breakfast was good enough to have something to eat before hitting the parks.

First, Maxpass is AWESOME! We loved it. Way better system. The only thing we noticed was if the parks were crowded (for us they were way more crowded on Wed and Thur than any other day) the fast passes were almost all gone by early afternoon. On our arrival day (Saturday) we didn't even get to the park until about 5:30 and were able to get a quite a few of good ones ( including Buzz, Space). Still thought it was great.

We did the F! dining package at River Belle Terrace. Loved having a dedicated place to watch. We saw people lining up almost 2.5 hours before the start, crazy. We then stayed for the fireworks which I thought were really good.

RSR is the best ride ever! We were able to ride it 4 times. I wish it could have been more. The whole Carsland is so well done, I just love it.

I didn't ride Incredicoaster but DH and DS did and thought it was great. They also thought Guardians is way better than ToT.

In all our days we were able to ride almost everything multiple times, meet tons of characters and still managed afternoon breaks too.

We also went down to Newport beach for half a day, which was really nice. Did Universal for day, and were not impressed. The studio tour was definitely the highlight.

Overall an excellent trip, and I think we might actually like it better than WDW. Can't wait to go back!

Glad you had a great trip! What day were you at RBT? I wonder if we were there at the same time? We were there Tuesday. Yep- Wednesday was insane, but Saturday the 14th was great as far as crowds go!

Wow, sounds like you had a great time. We love MaxPass too. Next time you go, try the single rider line at RSR. You'll get a lot more rides in that way. DH and I will often (not always) end up in the same car, one in front and one in back. Carsland is amazing, isn't it?

We were there on Wednesday, the insane day

We were amazed how low the crowds were on Saturday and Sunday!

Thanks for the tip, but with DS(7) I'm not sure that would work for us Maybe when he's a bit older.

We're not really morning people, so we didn't rope drop at all. We would get to the parks just after opening.

Most days security wasn't bad at all, except for Wednesday and Thursday. There were crazy long lines. I think it took about 15-20 minutes?
