Just back after spending a few weeks at WDW and we loved POFQ!! I had only ever stayed at GF and was worried I would not like FQ but we loved it!!

The resort was small, the buses were frequent, the rooms were large, the location perfect and we loved the boat to DTD. We will be splitting our next trip between GF and POFQ

Any questions, please ask!!!:teeth:

Did you happen to eat at the food court? If so, how was the food and prices?

What building and room were you in? Was it convenient to the bus stop and food court?

Thanks!

Do you by any chance know if they supply pool life vests for toddlers (3 yo?) and if the Laundry Facilities are easily accessable?

We're going down in 10 days, but I wanted to pack very lightly and do a load of laundry while we're there.

Glad to hear you had such a nice time. We can't wait to go there ourselves.

We did eat at the food court a few times, the food was very reasonable we had the large pizza - that was about $20 including tax, chicken strips and fries - about $7 including tax and french toast with sausage or bacon about $6 including tax!!

We got the refillable mugs and they were very good value for money!!

We were in room 3327, building 3 on the top floor, we were about 3 mins max from the food court, pool and car park and 5 mins max from the bus stop!! Any building would be good as the resort is so small!!

The laundry facilities are beside the pool bar and are very clean!! I would bring your own powder etc - its $1.00 for a box of tide and $1 for softner and that's only 1 wash! Each wash costs $2 and each dry costs $2 and they both take 30 mins each!!

Not sure about the life vests for toddlers!!

Yes they do have a limited supply of life vests for kids.

We stayed in building 5 and it was less than a 3 minute walk everywhere.

thanks for offering to answer POFQ questions....

I'm concerned about counter space around the sinks. there does not seem to be any. Where am I supposed to set my make up and hair brush and stuff?

It doesnt make sense that there are two sinks but no countertop... maybe I didnt see enough photos, and I have last minute jitters!

single digits!!!!! eeeeek!!!!!!!!
:hyper:  :wave2: :teeth:

Thank you for your great trip report. We were worried about going from WL to POFQ but not anymore.

I haven't heard any real awful reports like some of the others do. This sounds perfect for the quick trip we have coming up. Convenience and quiet will be a major factor and I no longer think we will be disapointed.

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed POFQ. I don't think there are too many who don't like this resort.

There is a shelf above the sinks. Granted it isn't very big, but I've found it to be satisfactory.

There are pictures here:
POFQ Sinks

Do the busses share with Riverside? If so, do they still pick up FQ first?

Overwhelmed - I found the counter space at the sinks satisfactory and I had lots of make up and potions etc with me!! There is also space beside the sinks just above the ironng board that you can use to store items!!

POFQ does still share buses with riverside but it does pick up at FQ first!:teeth:

Jockey -

I don't think I've EVER seen a poster on here from Northern Ireland before!!! Where abouts do you live? I have relations in Antrim, Belfast, Dough and Ballyclare......

On your trip, did you walk over to POR at all? Are the resorts about the same size? We'll be heading there in about 2 weeks. Can't wait!!!

Jockey,

Are there hair dryers in the room? This is our first trip to POFQ and we are all excited!

I am soo excited that everything worked out well. WE leave in a little over a month and I am getting excited. We are glad that everything is soo close. WE have a 3yr and a 1yr old.

We were just there 9/30 - 10/4.

MargieMC - Yes, they do have hair dryers in the rooms.

JFranklyn - we did the walk over to POR. We stayed there last year and I wanted to take DS over to the pool (longer, more turning slide) and a bigger playground. The POR is much larger than POFQ. The walk over is nice (along the river). We were in Bldg 6 so we were already on the end closest to POR. The walk still took a little while with a 4 y.o.
:D

I live in a place called Dundonald - it's just outside Belfast although I do work at the International Airport which in Antrim!! Have you ever been to N.Ireland?

Did not walk to POR on my last trip - just not enough time!!! Why is it time drags when you are counting down to the trip but when you get there time goes so fast!!!

MargieMC - Hairdryers are in the room already!!

There was no fridge on the room but I requested one when I arrived and they brought it straight up!!! :teeth:

jockey, glad to hear you had such a great stay at POFQ! We have always stayed at deluxes, but every time I book a WDW trip I look at POFQ and think that my family would enjoy a stay there. I really wish that the beds we queen instead of double size, but I think we just might have to give POFQ a go on our next trip anyway.
