Just got back tonight. I miss it already. We had a great trip all in all. Rain everyday, although it was beautiful on Friday when we left. It figures! We will try to post pictures when we go through them and see what we've got.

They put Christmas items out at the meadows the day after Halloween. They haven't put them out that early in the past.

Was anyone in the 300 loop I think Halloween night or the night before? There was an ambulance and rumors were flying around about someone being hit by a golfcart. Don't know if that is right or not. Also saw someone handcuffed in the 1900 loop by security. There was an older couple by their camper and again nobody was around after the fact to find out what happened. DH said the guy was really spouting off at the mouth to security. Just wondered if anyone else was around and saw either of these incidents?

Well, have to start to put away a few things. We will empty out the camper tomorrow in the daylight. I'm ready for next years trip.

Coming home is the hard part that I do not like! Time to start planning next year's trip. Glad you had a good time!

Uh-oh!!! :scared1: They must have been trying to sneak a peacock back into the Fort.

Nasty crime..... aiding and abeting subversive peacocks!!! I hope the scurvy criminal was drawn and quartered!!! Arrrrrpirate:

I cant imagine what you would have to do to get Disney security to put cuffs on you ? people that are that miserable should just stay home.

I just got home today. I was there when the lady was loaded up. I don't know for sure but it looked like she was not feelin well. Not so much like she was hit by a golf cart.

We were in the 800 loop and met Karl and family (KG66 - dis screen name). Hope you got home ok!

Our next trip is Dec 19th 2007

I hate coming home, too!!! :sad1:

Glad you had a good trip, though! Got any more pictures to post of your cool setup (truck camper hauling the pop-up)?

I really hate coming home after a fun camping trip...and leaving Fort Wilderness is even more difficult!

Looking forward to pictures and glad you made it home safely!:thumbsup2

We too got home last night around 11:30 after a week at the Fort. I know what everyone means about not wanting to be home after time spent at Disney. I guess I should feel lucky though, we are planning on coming back in February to stay over at Saratoga for a few days. I just won't be the same, sleeping in a bed attached to a room, instead of one thats attached to wheels.....

We saw kg66 's banner they had hanging, but never saw anyone around. That was the only campsite we saw with any indication of it being a Diser.

We just got back last night. We were in Site 111, a couple skips from the Settlement. The rain and wind were annoying, but as you mentioned, Friday was great.

I did the FW Segway tour on Tuesday, and I have to say it blew away the Epcot tour. The training only took ~30 min (that might have been because the entire group were Epcot vets), and then we had ~90 minutes for a long off-road tour. Sure you don't see the Epcot sights, but you get a heck of a lot more riding time, and a lot of varied and beautiful terrain on the FW tour. The guides, Ron and Robert, were excellent as well.

Did anybody else notice a very nasty Norwalk type virus going around last week? We had some relatives staying at the BCV, while we were staying at FW. Throughout the week, we were knocked out at various days. My dad had to hit the Fist Aid station near Crystal Palace, and there were others there showing the same symptoms. I finally caught it Saturday night/Sunday morning. The virus had me violently vomiting for hours. I couldn't even hold water down. I can't remember the last time I was that sick. The symptoms seemed to lessen after 24 hours.

Sadly, members of our group missed some great dinners, and my mom missed our big Halloween night at the Adv Club. On the positive side, the cast members throughout WDW were great in aiding wherever possible. A special thanks goes to Tom on the morning FW reception staff. We also had a ferry boat driver who assisted us in getting back to FW ASAP after our Magic Kingdom 1st aid stop.

All in all, a great trip with several bumps along the way.

I know that feeling- HATE coming home. We were there in August and the only saving grace from depression was we're going back in Nov.

6 days and counting. I'm already depressed about coming home and I haven't even gone yet.

KG66 were always on the go. I did not catch up to them until the day before we left. They had a 2 day drive back to Canada. Hope they made it back safe.

That would be me too! Just got back Sunday around 5:30 pm and worked yesterday and I don't want to be back. We stayed at site 307 last week. I must have missed the ambulance:sad1: Your there a whole week and you still can miss stuff! It was a wet week but at least it was not a hot sweaty week. Had a great time! Planning on going back not sure when gas was kinda of scary:scared1: I knew I should have filled up before I got to the Fort Because by the time I left gas had go up .20 cents.
Time Flys when your there!
