Eating at the bar as we always do in every restaurant, it's hard to avoid good beer:)
Here's what I had:
Anchor Steam at California Grill
Tiger at Yak and Yeti
Key West Sunset Ale at Gurgling Suitcase
Drifter Pale Ale at Flying Fish
Bells Octoberfest at Shula's
Negra Modelo (on draft) at Paridiso

And once again, some really different beer at Blue Zoo. And once again, I forgot to ask for a copy of the beer list!! But it wasn't mainstream and it was quite good.

They all sound great. I've tried them all except for Key West Sunset Ale at Gurgling Suitcase and Drifter Pale Ale at Flying Fish. We will be dining at FF so I will have to try that one. I'm also looking forward to maybe trying some news nones at the F&W festival in 10 days.

Yeah, that just made going to Paradiso a priority. Thanks for the beer report!

Sounds promising. Maybe finally adapting to the craft trend...noticed La Fin de Monde available at the F&W booth, that's a first. Also a lot of more unusual (to the US) german beers at F&W. Will be there in 12 days and will keep an eye out for new selections.

Le Cellier had La Fin de Monde the last few times we've been there.

Bill, the curve here is that one of the festival booths has Fin on draft...don't think I've ever had the draft version before...and of course a great choice while wandering around WS (which we will be doing many days).

Uncle, I live in Marathon. Should I be excited about Key West Sunset Ale?

We need to meet up for a brew or two at some point.

Thanks for the reviews UncleR. The only one I've tried is the Tiger--that's Thailand" :earsboy:

we were able to get Sam Adams Brickhouse Red at the Crew's Cup Lounge one evening ... that was tasty; normally you can't get that outside of Boston, or so I've been told.

We liked the beer choices this year and having Unibroue available at a festival booth was like a dream come true! Sure tasted good with that slimy meat clot from the New Zealand booth!

Pirate: Would like to do that sometime!!
And tho Sunset Ale is good, I don't think it merits any special excitement..

Was this recently? I just got back from boston a couple weeks ago, and I loved Brick Red. I would definitely go out of my way for that.

as recently as October 13th ... it was quite good and I'm not much of a Sam Adams fan.

We just returned last week from the F&W festival and I must say I enjoyed trying some new and different beers. I really enjoyed Hovels from Germany.

They also had the SA Brick Red at a little cart past the Fife & Drum (heading towards Italy) - looked almost like an ice cream cart. I like this better than the way too sweet SA O'fest.

Overall I liked that there were more beer choices at F&W this year but nothing really impressed me. And La Fin du Monde was only in bottles which was disappointing.
