We just returned from HHI (5/3 - 5/7) and BCV (5/8 - 5/11). My DH and I planned this trip to celebrate our 25th anniversary. Our room at HHI was ready when we arrived. This was our first trip to HHI and really liked the resort. Upon our arrival we told the front desk that we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. We went out to explore HHI and when we came back to the room there were balloons and a card wishing us a "Happy 25th".
We arrived at the BCV at about 10:30 am on 5/8, checked in immediately and were told that our room wasn't ready. While we were checking in I began talking to a CM (Isabel) and told her we were there to celebrate our 25th Anniversary. Isabel heard that our room wasn't ready and said she would see what she could do, made a phone call and within 5 minutes had a room for us. She asked if she could print a copy of our itinerary and I said that would be great. Little did I know she made a notation on our itinerary that it was our 25th.
My DH and I went up to our room and were just getting settled in when Isabel came up with a platter of fruit and cookies and bottle of Evian along with a card that said "Happy 25th". It was such a nice thing for a CM to do and one of reasons we love WDW so much. This was only the beginning of our 25th anniversary celebration at WDW.
On our first night we had ADRs for the California Grill. We checked in on the second floor and at check in we were wished a Happy Anniversary. I was a little surprised but then realized that I had an Anniversary pin on my bag. We went upstairs and when we were brought to our table, i
t was decorated with Mickey confetti and we were wished a "Happy 25th Anniversary". I was shocked because I knew the pin didn't say 25th Anniversary. It was then I realized that Isabel must have noted our 25th on the itinerary. We had a fantastic meal at the CG. At the end of the meal were treated to a great piece of Chocolate Cake that had a chocolate plaque which said "Happy Anniversary from the California Grill" on it.
The next morning we were getting ready to head to the parks and there was a knock on the door. We hadn't ordered anything and weren't expecting anyone since we were traveling alone. When we opened the door we were greated by a CM holding a bunch of balloons with a card. The card had a picture of Mickey and Minnie (it was signed by both) and it said "Happy 25th Anniversary". Isabel had struck again.
Our second night at WDW we had ADRs at Flying Fish. Again we were greeted by the CMs wishing us a "Happy Anniversary." My DH and I were seated and were given menus. I was looking at the menu trying to decide what I was going to eat when my DH said to me "look at the menu". I told him I was looking at it but I didn't know what I wanted to eat. My DH said "no - look at the top of the menu" and across the top it said "Happy 25th Anniversary Mr. & Mrs. A______". We had a great meal at FF and we were treated to a fantastic dessert for our anniversary.
Our last ADR was for Jiko. Once again the cast members wished us a "Happy Anniversary" upon our arrival. We had a wonderful meal and were treated to an anniversary dessert.
Our trip was one of the best we've ever had. Isabel made our 25th Anniversary trip extra special. All of the little things that were done for us during this trip are the reason we return to WDW year after year.
