We just arrived home from WDW today and it was absolutely FREEZING on december 8th. We had gone to Epcot with the thought of stay for EMH but it was just tooooo Cold for us to stay, even though we had mittens, 3 shirts, a sweater and a jacket on! It is suppose to warm up later in the week. We did have a few hot days. Just be warned that if you are going soon it cools down quite a bit a night. We had fun though.

Just curious, what was the actual temp? We are going in 10 days and I have been struggling with how to pack.

we were there from November 26-December 7. Average temperature was 82-85 during day, and 58-65 at night. A couple of nights it cooled down to low 50s, and on the 4th it never went above 70. We packed some jeans, and jackets, and only used them 1 day, since it was nice enough for shorts the rest.

I checked yesterday's weather earlier today, since it was DD's(15) first day with her uncle and cousins. It got "up" to 57º (13º in real temps ;) ) and down to 48º (8ºC). DD is one of those who don't feel the cold, and she was determined that she would be wearing shorts ALL week. Today it was going up to 68º (18º) and the rest of the week looks great. There is a great December forecast calendar here I wish I were there!

The actual Temp was COLD! LOL...umm I think it was in the very low 60's or maybe high 50's. It is going to be warming up (according to the Weather Channel) to low 80's high 70's. Keep in mind it does get cooler at night though. We had a great rest of the week though the temps were quite nice.

Just back too. I found the temperature during the day to be OK. But needed a sweatshirt and a windbreaker for the evening. But I noticed some people in the parks still in their shorts and tees and at the same time seen some in their parkas toques and gloves.
Coming pack to the resort from DTD on Saturday morning the bus stopped at the water park and I think there were a total of 10 cars in the parking lot.

Thanks for posting your link. It is a very good site. I have saved it to my favorites!!!!

I was there from December 2nd to 8th and I agree it gets cold at night. With no sunshine and the wind blowing, it wasn't too comfortable sitting around for shows like Fantasmic. It was probably 15 degrees Celcius outside at night, but it felt like 5. My core temperature was okay, but my exposed limbs (arms, legs, hands, nose) were cold. Luckily, I bought a Mickey hat with ears and that kept me warm like a toque.

Also, it was very cold on the Disney shuttle buses and gift shops. They still seem to have the air conditioning blowing. Sometimes I had to go outside to warm up.

we have gone in January the last 2 years, and it makes us chuckle how 50 degrees in January is like our April, yet down in Florida it is cold to them.

Last February the temperatures got so cold it got to -4 C one night. So be prepared for anything you never know.

Yes yes it did. We were there for that, it was when that big nor easter storm hit NY. It was really really cold and raining. We actually had our jkts with us from flying out of BUF and we wore them on many EMH nights. They were on the news warning of frost and telling people to cover outdoor pipes and how to get ice off there cars. Hopefully it will be warmer this year. :)

:lmao: ice off pipes and off cars - every day occurances here!! :rotfl2:

Gee - 60 would be balmy - I'd welcome that right about now!!

I agree with the OP the 8th was cold. 10C somehow feels colder there than here :confused3 , there was cold strong wind on a few days that chilled me to the bone. We did MVMCP on the 4th and my DD was wearing gloves and a hat. But, saw some people with just jeans and a long sleave shirt. Depends on your metabolism I guess.

On the 8th, some parts of northern Florida dipped below freezing!

We did Typhoon Lagoon on the 6th when it was around 20 degrees Celcius and I actually thought that was chilly when the sun went away and the wind started blowing. It was okay on the slides or in the wave pool, but the inner tube float was not comfortable.

Overall, I was surprised how cold I felt even though I had come from much colder temperatures in Canada. Part of it could've been how I dressed. T-shirt and shorts still feels colder in 15 degree weather than sweater, pants and winter jacket in -10. When I'm in Florida, I almost feel obligated to wear t-shirts and shorts. The photos look funny when I'm wearing long pants and a jacket! :rotfl2:

OH boy do I agree! We too arrived on the 8th of December. It was so cold in Epcot that my fingers were turning white. Luckily I had forgotten to take out my little gloves outta my pockets and could slip them on.

We saw the Candlelight Processional and just about froze out butts off on the benches. WONDERFUL show as usual but the singers & several members of the orchestra had gloves on. Once the Orchestra members got up to leave we could see that there were small heaters at all of their feet :scared1:

The following morning when we checked the weather channel as we tried to figure out how to make the clothes we had brought for a wedding work, we saw that it had been COLDER in Orlando than ANCHORAGE ALASKA.

I was in MK that day, we were chilly but Ok.. we still rode Splash Mountain and everything else.. even a cold(er) day at Disney is a good day!
