This is my first trip report and instead of a day-by-day style I'll just hit some of the highlights of our trip. For some background, this was our first trip back to the World since January 2001. And our first adults only trip. We usually have our children (currently 18,16, & 14) and they were none too happy about being left out but sometimes you just need some Mom and Dad time. And now on with some observations:

The resort:

We liked the All-Stars just fine. We especially liked refilling our mugs with hot chocolate anytime we wanted. And we wanted it often. It was a very chilly weekend. One morning there was actually frost on the windshield of the car.
We were in the Jazz building in room 2432. It was the first room from the parking lot so that was convenient. And not too far of a walk to the food court. I can definately see the disadvantage of staying in one of the buildings further away. It could be quite a walk. All in all I would not hesitate to stay at the All-Stars again.

The Parks:

Everything was just like we remembered and that's great! Some of the new things we did included the new Tower of Terror! Awesome! The first day we rode twice in a row and each time was different! We enjoyed One Mans Dream and I almost made it into the hot seat at WWTBAM twice! Once, I was 2nd and when that guy missed his question, I did too so I fell out. And the next time the guy in the seat missed the question and time ran out. Just for kicks they checked the board and I was first! Oh the humanity!
The best thing about the entire trip? On Sunday the 19th as we walked down Main Street we met a very nice CM who seemed to get a big kick out of the fact that we left the children at home for the first time. She asked us if we wanted to make them really jealous. Well, they were indeed jealous when they found out that WE WERE GRAND MARSHALLS FOR THE PARADE! We rode in the stagecoach and had a blast!! So if any of you were there and heard them announce the Walke family from Powder Springs, GA that was us! http://community.webshots.com/photo/61409832/61410125ddoLgJ
On a side note, we were advised by a CM that if we liked Alien Encounter we may want to make sure we hit that as it is quite possible it may not be around much longer. They get quite a few complaints apparently. It's a shame that no one can complain to the parents that take their small children in when they shouldn't.
And now I'm off the soapbox.

Summary:

As always, we enjoyed our visit very much. We may try to go again for a few days in April however the children have told us that we can no longer go with out them. (Before we left we asked the 14 year old what he wanted us to bring him back from Disney and he said "You should be bringing me back")
We did take the DVC tour while we were there and certainly liked what we saw. We may take the plunge.

If anyone has any questions I'll certainly try to answer them.

Ciao for now!

Just noticed I posted this in the wrong forum. Sorry! If an admin could move it over to the trip report board I would appreciate it.
