We left on our trip June 1st and got to our motel HI Sunspree by 3 pm. spent the evening in the pool. Monday the 2nd, we did the tour of Shariton Vista Villa and got out of there with $50 extra dollars about 10 am,headed to Animal Kingdom For the rest of the day. Kids did not enjoy this (age 9 and 12). They were bored.
Tuesday, Epcot.. Loved it we got there around 10am and stayed until close. The kids loved the fireworks..Wednesday Magic Kingdom.. Very exciting, but it rained from 2pm to well after 5pm. We were told by a CM that the Spectromagic and fireworks would not be going on that night cause of the rain (only scheduled for Mon & Wed nights). We left the park and 1/2 hour later it quit raining. the kids went to pool and we heard the fireworks being shot off about 9.30 or so. Disappointing... Thursday MK again rained in the afternoon but we stayed until closing. Friday MK again early start...9.30am and got caught over on Tom Sawyers Island with no rain gear in a "toad strangler" and we had to leave the park at 5 pm. Sat. day to leave... I had been having stomach cramps since Thursday and was very sick Sat am. our flight was to leave at 12:30. We got to airport and was checking in at 12:03 they would not let us board our flight because of a 30 minute cut off time before take off, all the time I was cramping and running to restrooms. So we were put on standby for the next flight out,@3:45 pm. When the flight was boarding we were told that there was only 3 seats not the 4 that we needed. the next flight was @5 pm, So once again we were put on hold. We ended up flying to Miami then on to St Louis. Arriving @ our destination @9pm. On the plane, we hit an air pocket and I got a glass of Coke in my lap. Wonderful trip??? My husband (an avid Fisherman) never once complained about anything!! This helped out alot. Although he did tell me before the trip that he thought I was going over board and would be disappointed and ready to come home in a day or two. I hate to say this but he was right. My feet hurt so bad after two days and we had rebock sandels also we had the britta filter bottles for water but I still got sick.

I'm sorry you didn't feel well during your trip. Maybe you will give it another try sometime. At least you got to see the fireworks. They are amazing at Epcot!

we were there in april and the rain one day was torrential.......but we did do epcot in that......hope you and your kids give it another try

Did you receive vouchers for being bumped off your flight, at least for the 2nd time? If not call your airline or write them a letter, you should have received vouchers for 4 people, going one way to use for future use.

The airline experience can add a lot of stress and misery to a trip--we've had experiences similar to yours. Sorry your trip was a disappointment. Hope you are feeling better.

I can recieve vouchers even if the WHOLE thing was my fault? We was late for the check in....

Never heard of rebok sandals? If you really want comfy sandals try TEVAS. They are fantastic and perfect for touring parks. If you stay onsite next time you will get a whole different perspective of WDW.....

Looks like you were there part of the time we were! We were in Epcot that evening also!:D We arrived on the 31st and did not have any rain except that Wed. evening, which was somewhat of a down time for us anyway.
Sorry you picked up a nasty virus. With that many people around, it can happen:eek: ! There has been an intestinal bug going around in our part of FL.
I agree about staying onsite. It is as much fun as the parks to us. Never leaving Disney truly adds to the experience. My kids don't mind leaving the parks to go back to the resorts. They are another park within the world.:D
I bought Rebok walking shoes and no show socks for our last trip and it really paid off. First time I have never had blisters nor sore feet. ;)
