We just got back and had a wonderful time. The weather wasn't great but we donned our Mickey ponchos and were on our way. We did an Illuminations Cruise, rode Mission Space (way cool), and just about everything else you can imagine. The crowds were huge, but very managable. We didn't have to wait long for any thing and only used a few fast passes. Happy to answer any questions you might have!

I am leaving NY on Sun! with DS and DD. I have been watching the weather and am very sad to finally have sunny weather here in NY and going to what looks like 30% rain and possible tornados each day. Can you elaborate on the rain? How much of the day? Were there any sunny times each day? Did you change your plan for which park each day or just plowed ahead? Thanks

We are just back too!
We did Mission Space which was awesome, altough my daughtrer (age 6) was quesy for an hour afterwards. It is definatley an intense experience. ESPCIALLY the take-off.

As for the rain, when watching the weather channle, if there is ANY possiblity of rain listed then it will will definately rain.
It rained everyday but one while we were there (8/13-8/20) Luckily the day it didnt rain we had scheduled Typhoon Lagoon (our favorite water park) Everyone else came to that day because it was packed.
And the rain wasnt just a little sprkinle, it usually was a downpour that lasted for hours.
On 8/14 it rained pretty much all day-although it was only sprinkles with occasional downpours.
8/15-started raining at 1pm and continued until 4pm
8/16-Absolute downpour at 4pm until 5pm, then okay
8/17-NO RAIN!!
8/18-FLOODING AND RAIN atarting at 5pm all through the night, torando warnings
8/19-POURING around 1pm until 7pm

We gave up on the ponchos and just got wet. The ponchos were a pain because they insist that you take them off on the rides.
