Just back AKL, BCV

Just back from 8 days at the AKL and 9 at the Beach Club Villas...any ?? ask away. Parks were the busiest we have seen in a couple of summers. Great time as always though! Sad to be back to reality.

How was the BCV?? What did you stay in? Was the room up to expectations? How was SAB? Transportation to parks? I just bought DVC at BCV and haven't stayed there yet.

AKL did you have savannah view? Where? animals? Did you go to parks or just hang out? Would you stay there again?

Sorry it took so long to answer, unpacking and back to work. Yes we really enjoyed the BCV. It was our first time there as new members also. The room was beautiful, a studio was the type we had. The only disappointment we had was that we were facing the access road into the Epcot area so there was a lot of traffic on that road, buses, cars and trucks. Definetly be very firm and request to not be facing that road. Other than that, the transportation was fine to the parks, the usual 10-20 minute wait for buses. Occasionally they were very crowded, espically when some of the parks combine Y&BC, BWLK and then throw in the Swan and Dolphin.
The AKL was beautiful as always, we did not request savannah but there are so many places to view animals from including the window directly accross from our room, that looked out onto the main savannah. The animals were plenitful, day and night. Such a relaxing place to stay.
The transportation from the AKL was a nightmare however. Very long waits, much of the time. WE have stayed here in the past and never had this problem. The other issue we had was transportation for my fathers wheelchair...there seemed to be more than a few insensitive bus drivers this time around, which was a huge difference from past years. This was true of both the Animal Kingdom and the BCV drivers.
Sorry so long all in all a great trip and ready to go back now!
