Just Back- A Few Reviews

Just got back yesterday and here are some reviews of our dining experiences-

Tusker House Character Breakfast - A Food was great character interaction was good and CMs very nice- good service. Love all the different choices of foods.

T-Rex- B least favorite meal but the kids loved the atmosphere. My burger was not good-cold inside and fries coldish- but all other people in our party said theirs were ok. We got the chocolate extinction for dessert now that was delish!! Server was just ok - they did give us the dessert for free- we have a points card- when Mgr brought it back to the table he asked how are meals were. We said fine except for mine- I never complained- but he gave us the dessert free. He didn't have to do anything- thought that was very nice. Not expected.

BOG lunch- A preordered. Food was good. Really liked our sandwiches and Quinoa salad was very good. Cupcakes always yummy. Easy doing preorder, Messed up when I made reservation forgot to count the baby. They gave us no problem.

Raglan Road Brunch on Mother's Day- A++ used open table to reserve- Gave moms a free mimosa- Server was awesome - no rushing us out - stayed 2 hrs music began at 12 and it was great. FOOD was delicious. Everything was perfect.

Sci Fi Lunch - A Best burger I had in a long time. Food took a while to come out but it was worth the wait, Never had a milkshake there before OMG sooo good. Everyone in party enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.

Akershus Princess Breakfast A+++ Food was delicious loved the potato casserole and the pastries. Eggs ,bacon cooked perfect. Service was top notch and the princess interaction-- well I had 3 yr old and 7 month old princesses with us and they spent a lot of time with them. The girls were both mesmerized by it all. Awesome time.

Very happy with dining this trip.

We're doing Sci Fi for lunch and BOG for breakfast/lunch/dinner in a few months. I particularly had my sights set on a burger at Sci Fi, so I'm glad to hear it was the best you'd had in a while!

Did you see any lone diners at Sci Fi diner? I am desperate to eat there but no one else is bothered so I'm thinking of dining alone but I don't want to sit next to a stranger (I don't mind sitting in front or behind)

You can certainly dine alone. The cars seat 8- they will just put you in a car with a smaller family- probably in the back. no worries.

Also, sometimes families and groups are an odd number so you'll see people who appear to be alone due to the seating set up.

I ate there alone last year. Remember that its dark with a movie going, and your sitting in a car (so kind of obstructed from view a bit more than a regular table), so not awkward if alone like perhaps at some other restaurants.

Nice to see a positive review of Sci-Fi. We are trying it for the first time in a few weeks - my son's choice!

LOL! They won't do that to you. You'll have a section of the car to yourself.

There are also little patio table towards the back with umbrellas, that could be used for smaller parties. And there are a couple tables that are just car fronts and bumpers with tables in between. I'm sure they could seat you somewhere, where you wouldn't have to worry about sitting with strangers. We never miss going to Sci-Fi on any of our trips

Sci-Fi is one of our must-do-every-time meals. We always do burgers, fries, onion rings, cherry cokes, and milk shakes. If you're on the DDP, you can get the milkshake as your dessert which we love. The food has always been really good, we've had great service, and we love the atmosphere....fun but relaxing at the same time. Have fun!!

I'm curious what sandwiches you had. We're going in October and DH is not excited about lunch at BOG. We went there a few years ago and he had the roast beef sandwich, which I understand is now a cold sandwich. He thought it was just OK then and won't be thrilled about it now being cold. I'm kind of stockpiling good reviews to help when we need to preorder so anything you can expand upon is helpful! Thanks!

I'm not the OP but we liked the French grilled cheese sandwich (croque madame? Can't remember the name) at BOG. Nice place to have lunch.

We have to hit Sci Fi every time we go to HS, too. Love the ambiance & their rib basket is very tasty.
