Hi everyone...

Just back from our stay at the WL from 9/21/02 - 9/28/02. For those of you that are interested, here is a list of all the places we ate and what our opinions of them are:

Breakfast:
Trails End Breakfast Buffet: Buffet was excellent! Very good waffles, french toast, etc. Very inexpensive too! Only $9.99/person. We ate there twice!

Chef Mickey's: Also good, but pricey. Then again, you are paying for the characters.

Lunch:
San Angel Inn: Nice location, but the food was so so. Nothing special. Wouldn't eat there again. Worst meal we ate the entire week.

Japan, Teppanyaki(sp?) - Very good!

Dinner:
Canada's Steakhouse - nice location, good food. chedder cheese soup is excellent!

Fulton's Crab House - one of our best dinners! Waiter was wonderful, along with our meal! Lobster and alaskan king crab legs! Try the chocolate creme brulee! It was heavenly!

Captain Jack's (downtown disney) - also very good. my bf thought the steak was better then canada's. great margaritia's. nice place to watch sunset.

Ohana (polynesian) - great buffet! had games for kids.

Cape May Cafe (beach club) - very overrated. nothing special. selection wasn't too great. wouldn't eat there again.

Hope this helps some of you! have a wonderful Trip!

Did the Trails End Buffeteria include beverages in the price?

Thank you very much for the reviews.

I also loved Fulton's Crab House but it always gets such poor reviews from the DIS'ers.

I am going to take my brother to Teppenyaki for dinner. I just love the atmosphere and the dish where you get EVERYTHING is great! I'm not big on the beer, but, what the hey you do what you have to!

Thanks for the reviews!

I wanted to try the Trails End Buffet this past trip but didn't get the time in the end  Maybe next trip :)

Did you go to the Cape May for dinner? Funny - I just tried that for the first time and loved it. Horses for courses I guess :)

Beverages are included in the price at Trail's End. We had a good waiter-Darnell or "Big D' as he wanted to be called.

And yes, we went to dinner at the Cape May Cafe- to each his own, i guess.

I would love to hear more details of the trail ends breakfast. I don't know much about it. Any info would be great.

The Trails End Breakfast Buffet is of course at Fort Wilderness.
You can not make reservations here, just walk in. This wasn't a problem when we went, but i don't know about the busy months. everything is included in the $9.99 price. they have a wide selection. cereal, fruit, danishes, muffins, donuts, waffles, french toast, grits, oatmeal, breakfast pizza, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, etc. very very good! and you can't beat the price! Hope this helps!

Thanks for the reviews! What kind of steak did your husband get at Captain Jack's? Always wanted to try this place, but we are not big seafood fans.

My boyfriend had the only steak on the menu- the butcher tendered steak. You don't have to be seafood lovers to eat there. The menu is limited but for example, we started with the spinach/artichoke dip, he had the steak and i had the half roasted chicken. I think they only have 3 or 4 entrees that are seafood. Hope it helps. TTFN
