I'm writing this report because before we left the crowd reports were freaking me out...

We arrived at the MK around 2:00 Friday the 25th. We got a FP for SM (about an hour wait for our time), and walked on with no wait at all: Haunted Mansion, Philharmagic, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Country Bear, Hall of Pres. (big surprise right?). The longest waits were in Fantasyland. We did FP for Peter Pan too. I didn't check out Splash or Big Thunder. We had dinner and left around 8:00.

Saturday we were at Epcot all day. I thought the crowds were normal for this time of year; this is the week we always travel. You need a FP for Soarin and TT of course, but everything else we walked on to.

Sunday am EE had a delayed opening. We grabbed a FP and did Primevil Whirl and Dinosaur each 2 times with no wait. No waits at TTBAB and our FP times for the Safari and Kali River were less than an hour wait. I will say this was the most crowded I have ever seen AK. EE does bring in a lot of people. The EE single rider line was about 10 minutes. FPs were gone by 1:00.

Monday had normal crowds at MGM. No big show like the Wiggles that day. At 10:00 am there was no wait at RNRC.

Tuesday the MK was empty. Our friends didn't arrive until 11:00 and still the waits at Splash and Big Thunder were 10 minutes. They walked on to Space Mtn. The only huge line was Peter Pan. We left around 12:30 after doing most the rides several times.

Wed. am at the AK was amazing. They changed the EMH from 5-8pm to 7:30-9:00am due to the storm. There were only around 20 of us there at 7:30 am. We rode EE 4 times with no wait - I don't advise doing this by the way!! We left around 11:00 and the park was still empty.

I did notice that the parks were a little more crowded than they usually are this time of year. I'm not sure if it's because of the free dining, or because we didn't use morning EMH and were in the parks in the afternoons (which we have never done before). They were no where near what was reported in the weeks leading up to this though. If you are going soon, don't worry about huge crowds!

Thank you for reporting.... as we leave in 7 hours!!!!!

I have to admit I was a little worried about the crowds also, but found it easy to get on the rides I wanted, when I wanted.

Glad you had a good time!!! :cool1:

Thanks!
Our family will be there the last week of September. It looks like a bunch of us DISers will be there. Hopefully we will see the low crowds too............well low except for us! :teeth:

We just got back on 8/29 and I thought the crowds were manageable, the mornings were walkon and the afternoon to evenings were more crowded. The evening magic hours at MK was very crowded so we just left, we luckily snuck on Space M while the fireworks were going on and we walked on that, after the fireworks the line was very long. I'd skip the evening extra magic hours next time, it was just too much craziness for me, both MK and MGM. I would definately do the free dining again if it was offered next August. :worship:

This is good news, thanks for the report. We'll be there 9/23-9/30 with our neighbors, and are really looking forward to it.

Thanks again,
Andy

Yay! :cool1: This is great news! I'll be there next Thursday and I now feel much better about crowds! I'm sooo excited :yay:

I was worried about crowds too. We just got back on Sun, and the crowds were awesome. We got to each park early and were amazed at what we'd done by lunch!

I am a bit concerned about this. I scheduled my ADRs several months ago right after I planned my park days. When I planned, I scheduled parks without EMH. I noticed AFTER I scheduled my ADRs that I accidentally messed up. I planned for us to be in MK on an EMH day!!!!!!! :guilty: I hate that!!!!!! I would happily reschedule, but the ADR for that day is CRT. You know how hard it is to book that one!!!!!!!!!! So, we will be in MK on an EMH day. I don't plan to stay for the extra hours. We will just try to stay until 7 or so. When did you notice the crowds to start picking up for that day? Will we be ok until early evening?
