Hi folks,
Just back from 6 nights at the CSR in Cabanas 9B on the dining plan.
Great.
We all had a great time at both the resort and the parks but wanted to mention a couple of things.
I read here on DB before I left for DW that one table service meal could be used as two counter service meals. I was told by several workers at the CSR and in dining reservations when I wanted to do it that it is not or has never been possible. If you wanted to try, find out the tricks before you go. Using the dining plan was a good thing although you do need to schedule your meals with time to digest. The restaurants are good and you tend to eat really well but if lunch is too close too dinner you will not be hungry and if you cancel you might not have time to use up the TS meal especially with kids. We ate TS at Le Cellier, Coral Reef, Kona, Mexico and Mama Melrose all were really good.
Another thing is with Fantasmic. The preferred seating in the Fantasmic package is on the far right side of the theater. The best seating is in the center of the theater. Don't be fooled into thinking you need to purchase a dinner package to see the show. Just get there when the gates open and the seats will be fine and maybe better than the preferred seats.
Lastly, Magic Kingdom 9:00p parade is very very crowded. Many parade goers were rude, pushing and didnt seem to mind stomping on your feet while they were squeezing through the crowd. Watch out for your little ones mom and dad. Oh, I forgot to mention Disney provides no crowd control whatsoever.
In closing, every cast member we met was at their Disney finest. The grounds and buildings were clean and well groomed. The only problems we encountered was with some of the rude guests.
The gene pool has no life guard.
