We had wonderful trip-if I have any advice for people traveling this summer it's to get to the park at least a half hour before it opens. I know getting up early on vacation is hard, but the parks are so nice without the crowds. You can do so much in a short time. We never rushed but easily walked onto to most attractions. We also used fastpasses to avoid lines before 1:00-by then things are getting crowded. We did two early mornings then two days by the pool and went out in the evenings. Then we did another early morning and our last day was pool in the morning and out for the afternoon. Going back into the parks around 6:00 fastpasses for the most popular attractions (like Soarin') would be gone and lines were 1-1 1/2 hours long. If the parks were open late things thinned out as the evening went on. This is the first time in a while we went during summer-I was a little worried, but we had a great time.

I am also a fan of getting up early during the summer. My kids grumble as they're waking up, but are smiling when we get on 4 rides in about half an hour

We were there 06/22 through 06/30 and found the mornings to be great as long as we weren't at a park with EMH. On 6/24 we opened MK (kids were in the opening ceremony and got to throw pixie dust in the air) , got two Photo pass pictures on Main Street on the way in, road SM, BTMRR, Jungle Cruise, Enchanted Tiki Room, Magic Carpets w/Aladdin 3 times, and Swiss Family Tree House all by 1030 am.

Each day we got a lot done in the morning without using Fast Pass except on EMH day at Epcot and had a great time. The one morning when we dragged out of bed and didn't arrive at Studios parking lot until 0900 we wasted at least 45 minutes trying to get into the park. BELIEVE the books...get there BEFORE the park opens and you will have a great time even during busy season!
