We just returned yesterday from our week vacation! Yeah-BooHoo. ;)

Temps: Beginning of the week, hot high 90s, end of week low 90s. An evening or two there wasn't much humidity and it was quite nice! Very short rain here and there, didn't use the poncho (except Kali River Rapids) the whole week. Do understand though that this week the percentages for rain have gone up.

Parks: Did RD for MK, Epcot, HS and AK (EMH day no less). My tip for MK & HS, when everyone is walking down the Main Street in both parks, cut through the stores. It's cooler and we were the only ones in the store - no traffic. Will be posting trip report soon. Did get FP for everything we wanted.

Hotel: Stayed at BWV, we were room 4001. If anyone knows about BWV, you will know that we were the last room all the way down the hall! We survived though.

Brazilian tour groups were out. We saw them, but we didn't seem to run into them that often. Only reason we knew they were there were because of the shirts.

Saw Fairies - 45 minute wait at 9pm on Sat 6/27 night. They were very good though and spent tons of time with my kids -dd (12) & ds (8), loved their autograph books!!!

Characters we saw, other than the norm: AK - Terk, Meeko, Kenai and Koda.
HS - Evil Queen, Jafar, Gov. Ratcliffe, Sheriff, Prince John and Max.

Some days took breaks, one day at MK spent the whole day there and HS spent 12 hrs there, got there at 9am left immediately after 9:15 FP at RnRC. Slept in a couple of days too.

Pool was packed in afternoon. ADRs it seemed we were seated within minutes of showing up except Le Cellier. Our ADR was 8pm, when we got there at 7:50 they told us there were running about 45 minutes behind. We ended up not keeping ADR and walked over to ESPN Club. Too long of a wait, too late in the evening!

Did Kim Possible, China & Germany. Kids liked it!

Got in on last day of DTD, WoD deal of spend $200, get $40 GC! I couldn't help but get in on that one.

One thing I noticed and maybe it was just me, but it seems to me that the temperatures inside (A/C) were not as cold as in the past. I wonder in a cost-measure attempt that they raised the temp on the A/C a couple of degrees to save money. In the past I always needed a light jacket at meals and such and that wasn't the case this yr. Again, maybe it was just me though!

Just some thoughts and comments, I'm here if anyone has a question....:thumbsup2

We were right there with you and I agree about the AC situation. Many of the ride queues that used to be cool seemed a bit warm. I was never cold in a restauant either. My son decided to come down with a fever, sore throat and ear infection on Wed though and by Friday we had a doctor in the room for him and a trip to Walgreens for antibiotics. We missed quite a bit this trip and didn't get to see as much as we usually like to do.

I feel for you and your ds. My ds had some belly issues and we frequent many bathrooms on this trip (thankfully, we know where they all are).

It seems in many queues that not all the fans would be on and I just remember the hallway in BWV being like an ice box and it just wasn't that way this trip.

Did get to see some folks turned out of the FP line for SplMtn. They came in right behind us and we knew they didn't have passes. I just let the scene play out. Sometimes it takes people actually experiencing the banishment to fully understand not getting in the FP line (it seemed they knew too - it was a 100 minute wait at this time.) They get let out at the last chance scaredy cat door. Saw another group a couple before of getting the same exit - I guess it's common on SplMtn, it's hot and who wouldn't want some relief? ;)

We were room 4001 on our trip in April! It took us forever to find it and we ended up using the stairs most of the time as well.

Loved the view though and thankfully we never forget anything in the room and had to go back. I didn't really mind that we were all the way at the end of the hall, I would have hated it though if I had to walk back to get something I forgot or worse, something the kids forgot! :lmao:

Never used the stairs, dh did once when he came down to the pool to meet us.

Oh Gosh! I understand. One trip we took , my daughter came down with a high fever and vomiting. I didn't know you could get a doctor to the room! For future reference, how did you do that? It would have been nice to know that before since I was on the phone with my Dr. in NJ countless times. She wound up having an ear infection too so anitbiotics would have done the trick.

Now that you mentioned that your son had stomach issues...for the first two days my ds kept saying his belly hurt and he kept going to the bathroom...alot more than normal. After day 2 he never complained again!
Until the fever hit!

Yes, this is something we all need to know!

I went to the main desk at CBR and they gave me a booklet on the local medical emergency site that is located right outside of Disney Property. I don't have the booklet right now since I had to go back to work today :sad2:
I have the invoice though and the phone number that we called for the room service doctor was 407-238-2000. Do understand that they charge $250 for room visits. We had trip insurance and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they pay for the whole amount for that visit!
Edited to add that they will even deliver your prescriptions or sometimes the doctor carries the main ones right on him. A strep test would be $25 extra so we just decided not to do it and use the meds since he already had an ear infection.

I always blame the food. Our systems are just not used to all of these rich and fattening foods for so many days in a row! It took a few days until it hit him and then by Sunday he was fine!

I knew he was bad when he was crying at ESPN and wanted to go back to the room - that is not my ds! He loves ESPN! We got one of the tables by the bar, that were self-serve and we had our own personal table with tv. We put the Phillies on and watched them lose!

Just wanted to add that we loved Chefs de France, very good food and great people watching location! We were there for almost 2 hours and it most definitely didn't feel like it.

My son always thinks it is the water in Florida. It sure does taste differerent than what we are used to in PA! We did notice that the pink lemonade in the soda fountains at the resort tasted fine but the other coke products had that funny taste.

We were at POP 6/21-6/28 and I spent the night of 6/21 at the Urgent Care (didn't want to spend $320 on dr room visit) with my dd. We all ended up getting a 2 day fever virus! Now we're stuck with rough throats and coughs. We just medicated and plugged along! What could you do? That heat almost did me in though! Never going in summer months again!

Oh, good one - that water is pretty nasty. We drank mostly bottled water, but one day ds took a drink out of the water fountain and he wouldn't swollow it, he spit it out in the trash and said that's nasty! The Minute Maid lemonade light was pretty good and our drink of choice while down there (at least dh and me.) Kids mostly stuck with Sprite with meals.

Bummer, sorry to hear about getting a virus. It's hard to just plug along, but you don't want to just sit in the room either. The heat earlier in the week was pretty bad. We carried bottled water with us and I had frozen wash clothes, that the family truly appreciated in the middle of the day!

Early in the trip the kids wanted one of those mister fans that Disney sells, I evaded them on getting them the first day and then they never asked again! :thumbsup2 We survived!

Almost forgot that we also saw Queen of Hearts outside of the Tea Cups, along with White Rabbit!

Also saw Frontier Goofy on the bridge in front of SplMtn.

We're going next week. My hubby swears he will not drink the water. He went to Georgia a few years ago and the water gave him some bathroom issues. He only drank bottled water after that. He said he's going to do the same at WDW. I said what a bout the ice he just looked like :scared1: Taking Immodian with me.

In my experience, most water that goes thru a coke system is conditioned water. so to taste the 'florida' taste thru coke is probably a lot less likely..try the fountain in tomorrowland, and tell me what you think. It was soo incredibly awful that i SWEAR there was a backup somewhere..blech! I knew it before it hit my lips..

The view was amazing! We actually used the stairs a lot because it was faster to catch the boat at the Swan and Dolphin than to walk all the way to the elevator, down to the first floor, and out to the Boardwalk boat dock (unless we were headed to Epcot instead of DHS, than it was worth it.) It was also a fairly quick walk to DHS from out of the back of the building.

It was also really quiet at the end of the hall, I'd definitely stay there again if I could request it!

Sounds like a wonderful trip! Too cool! You got the evil queen! We saw all of the others you mentioned. We did not stand in line for Cowboy Goofy and now I wish we would have.

About the AC, I think when it is that hot, the AC just can't keep up.

Yeah, I got in on the spend $200 get $40 gift card promo, along with the $10 tote. Funny thing, I used my Disney Visa Discount, and paid with my Disney rewards card. So for me Disney paid me $40 for getting over $200 of free merch. I don't know if they were supposed to let me do that, but they did!

Were you there on a non-Fantasmic day???? Did you find these characters in the animation building between 5 and 6? I've heard they do this sort of thing and I"m hoping that's the case so we can do it on our fall trip!
