Just back! 4/parks in 7 days. Great time!!! Any questions?

Just back from 7 nights at the All Star Sports Resort and did the 4 main parks. We had a great time. The crowds were not bad. We always go in the summer and the crowds in the past years have been worst. We used fastpass a lot and it was great. The kids rode their favorite rides at least twice if not more. We did early entry at MGM and MK. This worked well also. When at MGM we got a pass for The Little Mermaid before the park opened so then we could get another pass even earlier than the 2 hours.

We used two-way radios and they worked well too. We didn't have to search around for our family.

The ALL Star Sports was nice. We had two rooms with the connecting door between them. The kids loved that.

The only bad thing that we saw was that we didn't think that the parks were as clean as they have been in the past years. We saw a lot of over loaded trash cans and the restrooms were not as clean as before. You can tell where the cut backs have taken place. Also didn't think that a lot of the CM were overly friendly as before. They were not rude just didn't smile a lot or talk as much as before.

We did have a great trip and can't wait to go back. If I can answer any questions I would be glad to.

I am glad to hear the crowds were manageable -- a number of recent visitors have posted that the crowds were the worst they had seen in four summers and worried those of us going down later this month. I still plan to try EMH as well as the day-after-EMH strategy.

Did you find that all the rain cleared out some of the parks or vice-versa?

How about dining? Any trouble with PS or counter service?

No, I don't think that the rain cleared out the parks. People seemed to just go on about their day. We really didn't get that wet because most days we were inside eating or seeing an attraction while it rained. Remember when you go to Epcot to do Test Track early because if it rains they shut it down. That happened while we were there but they did honor our fastpass for later in the day when it reopened.

Use fastpass as much as possible. If you do EMH get a fastpass for something that isn't open early. We did that at MGM for Little Mermaid while my DH and DS rode Rockin Roller coaster and Tower of Terror early. We could get another fastpass before the 2 hour time limit.

The only PS we had was for Chef Mickey. It was great. The kids loved it. We did breakfast. The food was very good. We also ate at the Rain Forest Cafe. We did not have PS but we didn't eat lunch until 3:30 that day so we only had to wait about 10 min. If you are going during lunch or dinner time make PS's.

The counter service went well. We tried to eat lunch around 11 and dinner around 5. That way the crowds are down.
