any questions? we had a great time although there were a few unexpected bumps in the road. i'll post them on each forum...little things w/ POP housekeeping, a lunch Coral Reef PS, POP bus from Epcot & to MGM,etc but nothing that ruined the trip. despite how much you plan, you have to expect the unexpected.... the trip itself was magical & one that we are so glad that we took w/ our 2 small children.
EMH at MK 2/3...i had an idea from this site where to look for bracelets but didn't have it w/ me figuring how hard could it be? i was thinking as we entered a little after regular closing that they'd distribute bracelets at the turnstiles, but they didn't so we proceeded in. Wishes was letting out so there were crowds leaving. we stopped in the tunnel on the bench to feed our baby. we walked down main st. & didn't notice any distribution areas. it was dark & rainy so it was hard to see. went all the way to BUZZ, asked the CM there & he said "on the corner as you enter Tomorrowland". no one there. went all the way to town square & was upset, asked a CM inside...come to find out it was in the tunnel where we had exactly been earlier...we just didn't see it w/ the crowds & when we sat on the bench had our backs to it. w/ the CMs wearing white shirts under ponchos they looked like everyone else in the dark. despite the slow annoying start...it was great...all walk-ons except maybe 10 min. at the speedway. there was a light drizzle but temps were mild. we only needed one room key for the 3 adults & 2 kids under 3.
EMH at Epcot 2/2...same situation w/ room key...one key for our group...stations were easier to see....15 min. wait for test track after illuminations..that was the only ride that we did but it was worth it. although, we walked on the next morning at opening too so if you'd rather do that, it's an option, at least off-season.
overall, the longest line we had from 1/28-2/3 was 15 min....wonderful!

It was interesting to hear your report! I am surprised that they aren't checking room keys more carefully. I had read that this would be pretty strict. Glad it worked out for you finally!! I love the MK when it is late and empty of the daytime crowds.

I will be arriving at WDW kind of late on 2/13. The WDW calendar posts MK closing at 10pm. That Sunday is EMH in the evening. I am looking forward to getting a start on the MK that evening. Do you think it will stay open until 1am???? That seems incredibly late for a "slower" season. My understanding is that the parks stay open 3 hours past closing, though. What did you experience regarding the EMH closing hours????

Thanks for the info! Glad overall it was a wonderful time!

We were at Epcot for the same EMH. They were VERY strict. We had to each show our resort key and a photo ID. I thought this was odd, since they had not said anything about a photo ID at MGM on Sunday.

Epcot EMH 2/2 - as i walked by the distribution center near mexico - the discussion among the CMs "sounded strict" - they were talking about how they were going to conduct things. after illuminations, we walked over to the international gateway & my mother, who left her key in the room, was w/ our 2 strollers. before we could ask a CM to overlook this fact, a woman announced "you just need one key for your party", to our surprise! my mom got into line, no key, & was given a bracelet. obviously, i recommend that each person have a key on them to present for EMH but i think this whole system is going to depend on the CMs running it. At MK EMH 2/3, none of us showed a key - believe it or not - but maybe this was maybe b/c the CM from Town Square hand-walked us over to the line & the CMs saw this. I never even showed the key to the Town Square CM.

Lives4Disney...it was 3 hours after closing at MK so i would assume you would experience the same. i left Epcot at 10:00 ish but i'm pretty sure they were open til midnight.

I was there also on Wed night. We came into the park at 5:30, and they were giving out bracelets just in front of the RR station - very easy to see. Showed all 3 room keys,so don't know if they would have accepted just one. Wed evening was chilly (in my opinion) and rainy, and the crowds seemed very light. CM's were not very viligant in checking wristbands - at the speedway, when I said "do you need to check my wristband", he just shrugged - but I think this was due to the lack of people. Everything we tried (no mountains) was walk-on or very quick.
