Just Back (10/1-10/8) - seemed really crowded why?

Yep we were there 10/1 - 10/8 and we found it much busier than we are used to when we normally go after Thanksgiving. I think free dining had a huge impact. I notice the restaurants were very crowded and MNSSHP on the 6th was sooooooo busy!!! We didn't even try to get on any of the rides and waited in pretty decent size lines just to see some characters. Even though we had ADR's we still waited almost 20 minutes at each restaurant to sit down.

Yep I agree, we were there too & the lines were long...especially when Snow White came out with all 7 drawfs!!! We did wait on that line for a while & did get a great picture..my youngest dd was Snow White...LTT was a great way to start the party. I assumed that the entire LTT was all DIS'ers (since we knew when to make adr's for that one) & I even saw some familiar shirts (from the homemade shirts board)

We had originally planned on going during this time, but I changed it to a week earlier thinking that it probably would be crowded due to everything that was going on. If it was as bad as it sounds, then it seems like there was a big difference between the two weeks. I found the prior week to be extremely light crowd-wise, even with the free dining (which we took part of). There was also almost no rain to speak of. That being said - it was HOT.

We saw Wishes on Monday the 3rd. Hallowishes on Oct. 6th was unlike anything I've ever seen when the huge fireworks went off all around us! Too cool! I love Wishes, but Hallowishes really kicks butt!
