I am just getting in from dinner at Jiko, and while the food was good our service was less server inviting. His name was Michael, and he was the most unfriendly server I have ever had at a Disney restaurant in my life. He didn't greet us in a way that was at all engaging. He flat out ignored me, he did refer to my husband as "sir" a few times, but he was just unfriendly. There was not an ounce of warmth. He didn't introduce the menu, or offer suggestions. He was almost kind of like the snooty waiter.
When our food was presented I tried mine, and it was cold. I wanted to send it back. We told him, and he took it right away-but he didn't apologize, he didn't tell me what he would do to rectify the situation, he didn't give me an update after he took the dish to the kitchen, I was just kind of in limbo and left to assume that he would bring something back.
The service wasn't bad per se, just unhelpful and unfriendly. I did not feel welcome at all. It was just an unsettling experience. At the end of the day there was really nothing we could do about it. We did not feel it warranted a chat with the manager, he did his job well at a basic level. He was just unfriendly. I just needed to vent. Sorry. This might be the wrong board...
