JUST ANNOUNCED: HOLIDAY Food Fest at Epcot!

I am soooo excited. My husband just got to do the Food and Wine Fest while in Orlando for a business trip. He was raving about it to me, and I admit, I got a tad jealous.:headache: Can't wait to experience this when we go in December!

Sounds yummy! Can't wait. We'll have 2 afternoons and one EMH evening at Epcot during our brief trip.

So happy they are having this when we are there. I already have a few on my list for must tries. Cant wait!:santa::santa:

This sounds like a lovely Holiday tradition that should continue for years to come. I hope it is not another excuse not to update Epcot however.

I am super excited about this! I am planning a "scavenger hunt" type game for my family in Epcot and I will be so glad to add this!

I really hope this doesn't affect crowd levels during that time period, since we like to go early in December. :worried:

How does this work? Do you have to buy a ticket to participate? If not, do you pay individually for each thing you taste?

Is this something that we pay for as we go or do you buy a ticket that includes a sampling of something from each booth?

The same exact thing was offered last year. :) And they had the same foods as well. I tried the buche de noel at the bakery in France last year. It wasn't very good, kind of dry. I didn't really see anyone buying the special foods that were being offered.

You pay for each food individually.

You just pay as you go.

It won't affect the crowds. The same thing was offered last year and it's not a huge thing like the Food and Wine Festival. I don't think many people even noticed the special foods being offered.

They had this last year. It wasn't a lot of stuff but there was some neat things to taste and see.

They don't mention anything about the Pere Noel in France or the Canadian Santa Claus storyteller. Does anyone know if this is just because they are focusing on describing the holiday treats or have they been eliminated?

ETA: Not trying to be negative. I think this sounds great and sent it to a family member and they were curious if they still have the French and Canadian storytellers. They are family favorites!

Hmm, we were there last year in Dec, and don't remember anything called Holiday Food Fest. :confused3 We did find the kiosk with waffles. My DD24 had the sweet potato thing, I had one with wafffle, turkey, and cranberry. Both were really good, and were pretty big, not just sample or small sizes at all. I don't remember seeing any other kiosks or reading about any other offered foods/drinks. Will have to pay more attention this year, I bet it will be much more prominent and advertised this year.
