Hey Guys, for those of you who remember me, its Mike the ORIGINAL Peachident....... OMG!!! Yes I am still around and have not been on here in years. Back in the day when pin trading first started, I was one of the original 5 super pin traders at Epcot. Alot of things have changed and I know NHMickey has to remember me,lol. I guess there is a ton of things to tell but I just wanted to say hello to all of orginal friends and I still have the box of peachidential pins...LMAO!!

Mike

Hey Mike. How goes? It has been a long time and yes I do remember you and all the other Super Traders. You still in the Orlando area?

Great to hear from you, Mike! I was just looking at some pictures of early pin events and you were in one of them.

Hey Mike!

Always good to hear from you. I thought of you during the latest Presidential Inauguration and the race for pins...my goodness 8 years ago!!

Still laugh that you beat me from Epcot to DTD :):rotfl:

LMAO!!!! It is good to know that people still remeber the old times when pin trading was at its best. I mean now, LE pins of 100 are still on the rack months later. I am sure we all remember those EARLY 6 am mornings waiting for that mystery pin release and all of us out there cracking jokes and and making fun of each other.

THEN THE GATES OPEN TO THE PARKS................ITS A MAD RUSH TO PIN CENTRAL!!!!!!

Thats what I miss about pin trading and all the friends we made during that time. I was going through some boxes and found my old box of peachidential pins and of couse my bag of 674 James and the Giant peach pins....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

It has been way too long and when I saw all of those pins, it made me think of you guys and I thought to myself, You know...You should go back there and see if the login still works and say hello. Well sure enough, here I am,lol.
But yes, I am still in the Orlando area and after I left Epcot. I was at Macy's at Millenia Mall. Worked there for about 3 years and left to really get paid to play. I worked for the LEGO company at DTD for 4 years as a Master Builder. And I am sure some of you are wondering what the heck is that. To sum it up, you know all those really cool, really big models outside the building. I help to build alot of them. And of course made my own creations, that is one job I really enjoyed.

But now, I left them at the end of December...LONG STORY (save that one for next time..hehe) I am now an Assistant General Manager for a Rollerskating rink in Kissimmee. My first job as a kid was in a rink, worked there for 9 years. My heart has always been in that business and the opportunity came along at the right time and I decided to take it. Couldn't be happier, lol.

But I guess the really big news in my life....I got MARRIED....OMG!!! Yes, I finally settled down. Her name is Erica and we got married on our 3 year anniversary the end of last June. So you could say she is my first peach now, lol. If anyone comes down you will have to let me know. I would love to catch up and say hey again. I miss all the friends I made all those years ago and glad to see that I was not forgotten. Anywho, got to run, have be up early tomorrow. Long day at the rink, I will be there from 9am to 1030 pm. Such as life of a manager, lol. TTFN

HI Mike!
I remember you too! How could I forget you. You awarded me my first CTT, and I traded with you for our first holy grail pin. "Wet Paint", and it was an AP! I was astounded at your generosity.

I remember telling you "I'll never have anything good to trade". You told me to hang in there and my collection and traders will grow. Well, they have, and I'm still having fun. I've gotten burnt and even hurt a few times. But all in all, I still love the hobby.

I hate that so many of my first pin pals I don't see as much anymore. I see a few every now and then. But not like I used to. I miss that just like you. And your right, it was alot more fun back "in the day".

Well, you take care, and hopefully we'll run into each other. And Major Congrats on your marriage. Fred and I are celebrating 25 years this coming July. Just remember NOT to "follow your heart" as it can decieve you, but "Lead It" and you'll have a wonderful marriage.

All my best,
Winnie

That's kind of the way I feel. I still really like to trade & collect, but I have to wonder sometimes if Disney has killed the golden goose of pin-collecting the same way they killed their "beanies".

agnes!

Yeah Mike, I think we all miss the early years of pin trading. I look at some of the pictures of you and have been wondering what you were doing now. Thanks for the update. Long live the Peachident!
