last night DH and I were at SAMS club (getting new tires on car) and were loking around for other things while we waited.We saw what will be a great idea for us for drinks ir the park.OK...now this does not have much nutrional value,,,BUT we like 'em.They have a box of 40 either carpi-sun OR KOOL AID JAMMERS(at least ya get some vitamin c) for under 7 bucks...40!!!!! wow...you can freeze em at yer hotel OR not..cooler would work...and pop em in your bacl pack.for when ya want a lil more than water but dont wanna pay 3 bucks at least for a soda..and they are lightweight,,anyway.......this is just what we wanna do.I know water is better for ya and we will drink that too,,but IMHO kool aid jammers are super yummy,,,,,

Great idea!! We'll be staying off-site in a suite so we can freeze a bunch!! I will be heading out to Cosco today.

they come in a variety pack of flavors too...so you arent stuck with just the' "nerd flavors"(what we call the ones no one wants)

Yes, we brought some of these along with us on our last trip. They worked out well as we don't mind drinking water all day but when we are having a meal we want something else! So when we would eat counter service we would order the kids a kids meal which comes with a drink then my DH and I wouldn't order a drink at all. We would then drink the kids drink of soda ourselves and give these other drinks to the kids. They were happy and it saved a couple dollars.
Adding to that trick this was the 1st time we had done the ordering an extra bun thing and so we only had to buy one adult meal!

Just keep an eye on the sugar content of those pre-packaged drinks!

I dunno, our experiences with sugared drinks or fruit drinks in disney is that they inevitably spill and get sticky. We had a bad experience once with being chased by yellowjackets who were attracted to the juice in the bottom of the stroller. We stick with water because it doesn't jazz the kids up, it doesn't stick or stain, and if you get too hot you can just pour it over your heads!

another great idea... a few weeks ago, stop and shop had packages of individually wrapped snacks on sale for $2.99! So I bought a package of fig newtons and snack well cookies. I recently lost some weight and would like to at least maintain it! Costco also has many individually wrapped goodies that are great to have in your bag.

Although if you add that to those numerous Nestle chocolate chip cookie ice cream bars throughout the day might be a little too much!
I love those things!

I wonder, has anyone used one of those "pedometers" (I think that's how it's spelled) or walking monitors to record how much walking they do in a typical day at the Parks?

Say from 8AM to 8PM?

I'd love to know roughly how far I'll be walking each day.
