Just added person to ressie, change ADR's?

We just decided to add person #8 to our September trip. We have made several ADR's for 7 people. My question is, should I call and try to change all of these for 8 people or hope that we get a table big enough for 8 when we go? I don't want to lose all of the times we have now that they are getting booked in September. I would think that most tables big enough for 7 would fit 8? Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks

I had the same dilema. Not sure if to make res for 4, or for 5. (pos guest on any or maybe even ALL dinners. I decided that the dis'ers were right. If I have an ADR for 4, I may get turned away or have a huge wait if I show up w 5. Better to downsize than try to upsize at the moment

I would call and make changes--it would be awful to arrive and be told they can't accomodate that party size. Good luck!

You need to call and since you now have 8 its a magical gathering so just ask for that dept and they can change all of those ADRs for you and then they will send you a print out of all your ADRs. I know this because I added an 8th person and this is what happened..It was no problem at all and quick..

You REALLY need to call! As others have said ... it's now a magical gathering. Also, I started with 4, then it was 8, then 9, then 10, now it's 11 ...

I called about ADRs with each addition. Some stayed the same with no problem ... some had to be totally redone with new numbers issued and in some cases a change in time was required! Even if no changes are required, it's far better to be safe than sorry.

I had to call just last week to add a person to our ADRs. I was able to get them within just a few minutes of what I had. Most of the times stayed the same, but the ADR numbers all changed. What I really hated was that I had made ADRs for Hoop de Doo and the Luau way back the first week of April and had to cancel both and rebook. The CM made a point of saying she would make a notation that I had cancelled ADRs made in April in order to rebook with an additional person, but that we had probably lost our place in the assigned seating list and our new seats would not be as good.


FYI-last Sept during the free dining the people checking in in front of us were asked if they had an ADR. They said yes but their numbers had went from two to four. The CM asked them to wait a minute, left to go talk to someone, then came back to tell them that they could only take the original two. They got angry, but left.

Thanks everyone! I did call, they were able to just add one to each ADR with no other changes. I'm so glad.

I did ask about the grand gathering and she told me it had nothing to do with food but rather making sure we get connecting rooms, etc. She did give me the number to call them direct though so I will do that and go from there. Happy 4th Everyone!
