Just added on at BLT 2/19 ? about incentives

We added 200 points at BLT in 2 separate contracts on 2/19/09 and got the 7 night cruise. Developer points weren't mentioned. Has anyone gotten both or only developer points recently? I might call back and see if I can switch to developer points because the cruise dates really don't work for us. I am still within my 10 day cancellation so it shouldn't be a problem.

Also the points are showing in my account as Resort: null probably because I don't close until March 21 but just wondering if anyone has similar experience

There have been reports that people have switched from cruise to developer points and from developer points to cruise. You should be able to do that.

I have read no reports of anyone getting both developer points and the cruise.

Don't worry about the "resort null" thing. It seems to be a common website issue for the new resorts. It will get fixed eventually. AFAIK, it has nothing to do with your closing date - it's just an IT issue with the website.

AFAIK, you may make reservations as soon as Disney has your deposit and you are in the system. You do not have to wait for your closing date.

Of course, the reservations are subject to availability and the BLT points cannot be used anywhere for a stay that begins prior to the date BLT opens.

Developer points are only good at SSR (and for exchanges and I believe DL Resorts, check your paperwork) and cannot be used to book anything more than 7 months in advance of check in.

I added on just recently and got the developer points and not the cruise. The dates didn't work for me so I asked for those instead. He said it was no problem to get that option.

I am going to be adding on shortly and am not a big fan of cruises, but the last I read all developer points expire on 10/3/09, do your developer points expire then or did they give you a year to use them

Mine expire in October. For me, I was going in August so it was not an issue, but I wonder if they would be willing to extend them for people.

My guide made reservations with my developer points the day I called her to say "YES, I want to buy".
She didn't have any paperwork or deposit yet.
I don't know exactly how the developer points work (they are a month behind on entering the reservations).

We added on over the weekend at doorway to dreams, 160 at BLT.
DP's were never mentioned.
If possible I'm going to try to exchange the RCI for Developer points.
Anyone try that???
