Just added DD16 to car insurance and it more than doubled

In our house if you wanted to drive you found a part time job because mom and dad said they would not pay for our car insurance. They would get us a beat up car to get us from point a to b. Insurance was around $100 a month. They added us to their policy and we paid them for it every month. No payment by the 1st they took the keys and cancelled us. At least that's what they told us. LOL! Not driving for 30-60 days was enough to teach us a lesson. That's one of the greatest lessons they taught us.
