are the strollers that you can rent at the parks comfortable for young kids. in my opinoin they dont look like they would be but i could be wrong. has anyone ever had their child complain about them?

I've rented them before and they are great! No complaints! I would bring a ribbbon or something to tie on to it to quickly identify which one is yours! I would never mess with carrying a stroller on/off the buses and monorails.

They're hard plastic (except MGM - those are mesh) and I wouldn't recommend them for babies or children wanting to nap. They're definitely not appropriate for infants that can't sit up on their own. Also, they don't have a very significant sunshade/visor in my opinion and not much storage space for backpacks/diaper bags. We rented them on our first trip with children, but now we bring our own out of preference and comfort (and not to mention cost...gets expensive if you're there for a week). Just my opinion - others find they work well for their family!

would you recomend them for a 1 year old?

On the low end of age one...probably not. Eighteen months and up, possibly. Again, they're not designed for babies. If you have a young one that you're hoping will nap in the rental stroller, you may want to bring a towel or small blanket to offer some cushioning, or just bring your own stroller. The rental strollers don't recline. I guess it all depends on what your child's needs are.

They sure don't look very comfortable. We'll be there with our 1 yr. old in the fall & plan on taking our stroller. I'd hate to be there & rent a stroller that he is not comfortable in which makes him miserable & grumpy during the duration of the trip.

As you can see, no complaints here! They look plenty, "nappable", don't you think?

My ds6 never complained although if I had a tiny baby I would bring my own (and have). These are the EASIEST things I've ever seen to push. Hey, we've thrown an adult in there with 3 kids and I can still push it. Maybe a blanket to make it a bit more comfy. Most kids will nap anywhere (well mine will anyway).

If you buy more than one day at a shot you get a few dollars off. We buy whatever we can afford and use the rest on the next trip. AND you don't have to wait to pay over and over again. If you pack a huge bag (like we do) considering paying an extra few dollars for a double stroller and save your back.
