Just a VENT...

I think if he were cheating, you would sort of "feel it in your bones." Do you feel it? Or do you think he was out at Fuzzy's Sports Pub and Go-Go or wherever w/his boss?

Does he have a cell? Did you try calling?

Just thought I'd weigh in from the male perspective. When I was a teenager I always checked in at home so parents wouldn't worry. It never caused any problems. When I got married I always checked in with DW so she wouldn't worry. No problems. I've always put myself in the other persons shoes and I hate to worry and wonder where my loved one is, so I try not to put them in that position. It isn't difficult, really. :)

My husband does this occasionally, but it's more a thing where I EXPECT him at a particular time, even though he didn't necessarily TELL me he'd be home at a certain time. For example, he plays soccer once a week and sometimes the players will decide to go to the pub that sponsors them for a beer. Now if his game is at 7, I expect him home by 9:30-10:00 or so. If they go for a beer, it might be 11:30. Sometimes it's our OWN expectations that disappoint us, not something that the hubbies have actually done. They should at least do us the courtesy of letting us know they aren't coming straight home.

Maybe once or twice a year there will be a retirement dinner or a mess dinner or something, and he's come strolling home at 3 or 4 in the morning. I always tell him "Look, it's not that I mind if you stay out with everybody and have a good time, but after a certain time and you're not home, I start spending the insurance money!" He gets my point.
