when booking reservations at Vero Beach and/or the Beach Club. Be clear which resort you are talking about. Understandbly, my CM was getting confused since I had ressies at Vero and wanted to add on a night at Beach Club. I hadn't thought too much about it, but it is something worth making sure everyone is clear about.

Good tip, Pam. Hadn't thought about the confusion that will be likely for a few months.

This is more confusing of an issue than I thought. We are in the process of adding on at BCV. We were doing this over the telephone, and it WAS clear to my purchasing agent when we spoke what our intention was, as before I got off the phone I was shure to confirm all of the facts. The timing of this transaction was somewhat critical to us because we wanted to use the 11 month window to book around the 4th of July next year. When I called MS to book this trip they said that my BCV points where not available as promised. When she went on to say ... "the only points that I see on that account are your HH and VB points" ... my mouth droped ... we have no VB points (and as of now do not have intention to). It became clear that instead of entering our add on as BCV, they entered it as an add on to VB. Sure enough then next day in the mail came our papers for signing that said VERO BEACH. It was resolved easy enough, but it left me wondering exactly how often this has been happening.

Beach club ... Vero Beach ... its all a Beach thing!

Oh, Tig! Buying the wrong resort would be a heckuva lot worse than making a wrong reservation! I'm sure glad you were able to get that straightened out.

I have to say in our guide's defense that the day we purchased our add-on was the same day that he received the phone call that his wife went into labor (twin boys!). So, I'm sure he handed it off to someone else who entered it incorrectly. What matters most is that we have the correct points now and our ressie for next July, so all's well that ends well!

Continuing the Disney tradition:

The Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness. The Animal Kingdom Lodge and the Wilderness Lodge. We rode the bus for a long time last winter while the kids napped and I got the bus driver started on this (we were staying at WL and I asked him how often do you end up with people on the wrong bus heading for Fort Wilderness or the AKL) - and he laughed - "with all the imagination Disney Imagineers have, you'd think they could come up with less confusing names"

Continuing the Disney tradition:

Of course, the all-time favorite...renaming the Magic Kingdom Club the Disney Club when they already had the Disney Vacation Club. ;) ;)

Shutters( soon to be at CBR) and Shutters at VB.

Let me put words in Rich's mouth. They did it on purpose to try to sell VB hoping you wouldn't catch on until it was too late.
