Just found money!! It's between 25.00-50.00 from an old bank account. It's in my maiden name so it must be at least 12 years old. Will go straight into my Disney Jar when I get it! Thanks for the thread!

I think I found hubby's name! It just had initials for the first and middle name. We submitted the claim to see if it is definitely for him. It didn't say how much or what it was for. We will just have to wait and see!

Thanks for posting this reminder. I didn't find anything for me or my DH, but I found two for my Dad, one for my Father-in-law, two for my Grandmother and one for my Granddad (both are no longer living). I passed all the info along to the appropriate parties. Don't forget to check for family members! I totally made my FIL's day! (My dad is currently out of the country, so I just send him an email with the info.)

Funny, I checked this about 2 years ago and saw my (deceased) Dad's name. I told my brother and he said his wife would do the paperwork and they'd split it with me. I never got any money, so I figured they just spent it. Low and behold, Dad's name is still there - I'm pretty sure they never did it!

Thanks for posting this. I usually check every year or two, but I haven't done this in awhile. While I didn't find anything, I found something under my father's name. Since he is so not into computers or the internet, I went ahead and completed the form to have a claim form sent to him. I just got off of the phone with him and he's pretty happy to hear the news.

Holy cow! I just pulled up my bosses and both of them and the hubby of the married one all have stuff listed. I am scoring Brownie Points tomorrow.

Wow, thank you!!!! I checked, and for ha has, I checked my maiden name in the state I grew up in and I have something!!!!! Who knows what it is, but, Im well into my 30s now, and it has my mom as been a custodian for me? Maybe this will make me rich... ha ha. Probably not, but one can dream right?

I never thought I would have had any unclaimed money, but apparently I do from a stock I own. No clue how much it is? I keep joking around with the bf saying I could be a billionaire. hehe

And my boss has unclaimed money, brownie points!!

I've checked the website before but never found anything. At our State Fair last week they had a booth so I stopped by to see. They found about $73 that I was owed. $62 of it was from when I used a PO Box so they said I would have to prove that I had that address and that I had that social security number. I was lucky enough to find my community college transcript that had my PO Box AND my social security number on it (back in 1989 they listed your social everywhere).

I wanted to say a BIG THANK YOU for posting this back in Oct. I had found my Mom's name on the list at the address we had 40 years ago. She got a check yesterday for $455!!!!!

So I submitted by unclaimed property thing online in May 2009. I had no idea how much it was but assumed it wasn't much. Well, I just got the check Saturday! 8 months later and I got $18 . But it's $18 I didn't have before.

I'm glad so many of you are finding money!!

DH had money from his first address when we graduated college. It was $356 from a life insurance policy. We have no idea what life insurance policy it was, but after 20 years of sitting there, we got a check for $491! Then the state of NJ sent us a 1099-INT for $132!

I just went to the FL website and Typed in Disney and there are so many for different disney companies. Why would these go unclaimed? The companies should have had no problem finding them!!!
