Just a RAVE about a Windsor Hills Townhome!

Glad to hear only good things about Windsor Hills once again. We are booked at a townhome there for mid-June and are so excited.

Has anyone driven to Seaworld or Universal from Windsor Hills? How is the drive? And how hard is it to get onto I-4 from Windsor Hills (traffic, distance etc.) at non-peak time? We'd always avoid it duirng peak time.

Actually I was just at Seaworld from WHR last month. It took us about 15 minutes to get there from WHR, not counting the long lines to get into the parking lot at Seaworld. To get onto I-4 is all of 2-3 minutes, even at a peak time it wouldn't take you any longer than that, very easy, there's 2 traffic lights on the way, the first of which is a right hand turn anyhow.

Late that afternoon (this was on a Saturday) we had to go back to WHR to take our stroller back before heading to the airport, again, it was 15 minutes. (We had already checked out of our home).

SeaWorld was pretty fun and entertaining by the way, and you can buy a ticket now that's good for admission for the rest of the year for the same price as a 1 day ticket, we did, so plan on going back this fall some time.

We saw Shamu, and Clyde and Seymour was a great show too! Our DS was not tall enough for the Kraken roller coaster though much to his disappointment (54"). They also have a good play area for littler kids we spent some time in and they enjoyed.

Thanks! We just did Seaworld too and enjoyed it! I wish I hadn't forgotten that the play area had those water fountain/gusher things - I didn't bring swimsuits for the kids and they wanted to play in it! Oh well, I let them play in their clothes, and bought towels (they were happy to have the towels as souvenirs anyway). The kids really perked up a lot after getting wet - the day was hot. If you're going to spend a whole day there in the hotter months I definitely recommend taking swimsuits and enjoying the water!

Yup, we are hard core Universal fans and drove there a few times from WH in March (and from Emerald Island the previous 2 trips). It is very easy - maybe 10-15 minutes to the exit to Universal. EASY signage. You'd have to have your eyes closed to get lost finding it.

We drove at a few different times of day, and really never hit horrible traffic. We usually left the villa at about 8:30am and returned about 5:00pm. Only once 192 heading East was backed up due to construction but there are ways to avoid that.
