I was wondering. How long should I stay low-low carb before starting to add carbs. I did the two week induction period and I had a little more carbs yesterday and my weight went up. Should I stay low-carb till I reach my goal (I have about 38 lbs to lose, I have already lost 12) and then slowly add back it or what! I am so confused and I hope someone can help!

Thanks so much!

You can stay on induction as long as you feel necessary, but beware. I stayed on 4-6 weeks, and I got bored with repetative foods. It led to a major binge.

Your weight can fluctuate day to day for many reasons. TOM, increased sodium intake, even constipation are just a few.

My suggestion is to add a few carbs at a time. Maybe 25 carbs this week. Weigh yourself at the end of a week.

Hope you find your balance.

I started to add back carbs after the initial 2 week no carb phase very slowly. I found that a piece of fruit and/or 1/2 of a container of yogurt sent my heart racing. Now my problem is that I should cut down on some of the stuff I've added back but I haven't been able to do that yet. It sounds like you're doing well. Like Beth said, the scale can fluxuate daily so you can't always go by that. I hope you're measuring. That's one of my favorite ways of telling my progress. I found the inches really did fly off and still are coming off at a good clip even though the weight loss has slowed down.
