Just wondering if Disney did a campsite discount last year and what kinda of discount was it?
Looking back at the threads, skw25120, there was this thread started on March 3, 2020:
https://www.disboards.com/threads/discount-for-campsites-3-29-to-5-21.3795039/
It was for 20% off Sunday-Thursday nights (weekday nights) and did NOT include Friday and Saturday nights (weekend nights). In re-reading it, I'm reminded to say that EVERY available campsite does not automatically carry that discount. The number of discounts sites will be limited.
I believe now you can mix rates in your reservation (not possible up until a few years ago) so if you have a weeklong stay planned you can have some days in your reservation with the discount (that qualify) and some that don't so you pay rack rate.
That discount was unusual for that time frame and given the impending pandemic, in hindsight Disney may have seen some cancellations leading up to the discount being offered. (Of course, Coach Pat Dye was famously quoted as saying that "hindsight is 50-50".

). Then the campground and all resorts shut down for several weeks. Most FW campsite discounts offered to the general public are released at least 2-3 months in advance and this one was less than that.
There is "usually" a general public annual discount offered in the 15-20% range for mid-August to late-September and "some times" an offer for the summer (excluding July 4 holiday times). Again, discounted sites may be limited. As for AP or FL Resident discounts, not on my radar since I am neither. Someone else would have to update you on those if any.
Campsites in the fall and spring are booked up early and heavily by "locals" living within a half day's drive or so who want to book a weekend stay at the Fort. So often times you can get weekdays but it's the Friday and Saturday nights that are tough to get.

PS - Disney makes several resort hotel discount offers over the course of the normal year and usually it says in the fine print "Campsites not included". Cabins almost always are.
