Just a One Night Stay?

I'm planning a trip for Nov. 21-25th and I was thinking of spending our last night in a Disney Resort. I have found from searching the boards that arriving at the resort before that park opens shouldn't be a problem. We aren't looking to get into a room, just leaving the car and getting to the parks.

My question is what happens the next day? Can we leave our car at the resort after we check out and spend another day in the parks, then leave later in the day? Can we use EMH on the day of arrival AND departure?

Why is it that Disney website is showing rooms unavailable in certain resorts but Travelocity has rooms at the same resorts for the same dates I entered? I found a great price for one night on Travelocity yesterday and today the price has gone up quite a bit, why the huge fluctuation?

Thanks for any answers.

Yes, you can leave your car at the resort but all of your belonging will need to be out of the room. You can either pack them in your car or leave them will bell services.

You can take advantage of EMH on your check-in day and also on the day that you check out. That's true whether you are in the room for 1 night or 14 nights.

The Disney website has been wonky for quite some time. Trying to price out rooms and availability for 2014 online is just a crap shoot. I don't know why Travelocity's price jumped. It could be that they had a limited number of rooms at the price which you originally saw and now those rooms are booked. It could have been a 1-day, across-the-board website discount on all bookings. Or it could be an internet glitch.

Thanks. I think I might call Disney to see what kind of pricing I can get. I would love to stay on Disney property the entire time, but don't think I can swing it because there are 5 of us which makes the trip costly from the get-go. Last trip we stayed at Windsor Hills and it was great to have 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen and a washer/dryer for $100 a night. That makes it harder to pay Disney's prices.

Sometimes Disney limits the resort/room category availability for shorter stays. So, while the resort/room category that you want might not pop up for a one night stay, if you expand the dates and start playing around with them a little bit, you may discover the room you want is actually available on the date you want but only for the longer stay. You can then book that longer stay, put down your one night deposit and then call Disney to modify your dates to what you really want.

Sometimes you can get some really great rates at Swan and Dolphin. They have rooms they call Deluxe Alcove Rooms that are oddly shaped, but large. We had no problem fitting 5 of us in there for 6 nights. The roll away bed was just as comfortable as the king, but the put the mattress of the sofa bed on the floor because it wasn't as comfy.
