Just a Keepsake Floral warning-UPDATE 5/28/09

I just wanted to give you girls a tip when using Keepsake Floral. Please, please, ask what the bouquet looks like that they have!!

I gave my bouquet to our Disney photographer after our MK photos and they were taking it back to Disney floral so that they could transfer it to Keepsake Floral.

Then, when we got back from our honeymoon, I called and made sure they had my bouquet. Well the girl I spoke with said she couldn't locate it. She thinks it may have been lost by either Keepsake or Disney. She was supposed to call back but didn't.

Next, I kept getting phone calls from Keepsake to schedule and appointment for a consultation to tell them what I want and for whatever reason I kept missing the call. One of the latest calls I recieved told me that if I don't schedule my appointment soon I will have to start paying storage fees. Well nobody ever called me back when I would call and leave messages so after that last call I told them so on their voicemail. Guess what? I got a call back..lol. So I scheduled my consultation for today.

The lady I spoke with was very nice. I asked if they had Bobby's flowers and they said no but we can recreate his from one of your roses. I said ok that is fine. So she asked me what color his rose was and I said it was the light pink rose and it had three clear mickey head crystals on it. She said well we can use the pearls that were on your flowers. PEARLS???? I told her I didn't have pearls. She said oh well they aren't really pearls but kind of like a pink mickey head. Ummm...no. My flowers had green crystal Mickey heads. She said well wait a minute is your bouquet all light pink roses with pearls. I said no I had light and dark pink roses with green crystal mickey heads. She apologized and said I don't think we have the right bouquet. So ladies please make sure they have the right bouquet when you speak with them.

I am supposed to send them a picture of my bouquet so they can see if they can find it. If they offer to recreate it I am not going to do it because it won't be "my" bouquet. There is no point in saving the bouquet if its not the one I used on my wedding day. I just thought I would share this friendly warning. :sad2:
 

oh my Toni! I'm so sorry to hear about this. Lots of PD in hopes they find the correct bouquet.

aww Toni. I remember you mentioning before that they couldn't find your bouquet. That is very good advise so that no one ends up getting the wrong flowers. That would not be a fun experience. :scared1:

I read something about this before, they have "recreated" the flowers for a lot of people, it appears they lose a lot. For the amount of money they charge, you think they would be more careful.

wow really!!!! this is what I am worried about. I mean I could recreate my own flowers out of silk and put it in a frame for a lot less money. I don't see the point in saving them if they aren't the flowers that you actually carried on your wedding day. I mean I know they replace the dead ones but at least its almost all the flowers you had. That is sad. I can't imagine the girl whose bouquet I had!! I hope they redirect it to her!

I was married on 12/08 and decided to have my bouquet preserved with Keepsake Floral in Orlando. I was so happy and couldn't wait to have the chance to keep my beautiful bouquet forever. I was told to leave my bouquet at the front desk of the resort I was staying in...I did...the flowers weren't picked up until 3days later!! I was upset and asked to speak to a manager, a very bubbly customer service rep told me that I would need to be speak to the owner Dayna. Well I waited for a call back for almost a week, finally an older lady called me to apologized...I wanted my p/u fee refunded...they said NO! After all that I was charged for "replacement" flowers...hello...it wasn't my fault the flowers wilted! They charged $50 to replace the petals! After spending $700.00 on the keepsake, I received it and was horrified to see that the invitation had come off...petals everywhere....I cried and cried! My husband had to call Keepsake for me since I was so sad and depressed. They told him Dayna the owner would call back later that day...she didn't!! (not a surprise) week went by and she asked me to email her pictures, which I did...it took another week for her to respond. UPS picked up my keepsake and 2 months later I received it. My keepsake is in the closet...when it came back the frame was chipped and glue strands covered my invitation. I knew I was going to get the run around again so, I just left alone, no point calling them back. I am not a complainer and hate situations like this! It is not worth the hassle and the pain or the money to go through this. My cousin told me that I could have preserved the flowers myself using silica sand!!! I wouldn't recommend Keepske Floral to anyone! Ladies please be careful and do you homework...ask as many questions as possible. I would have gone to a different company, but Disney spoke highly of them, i'm sure they get comisson!:sad1:

Minandmink - I'm sorry to hear you had so much trouble!

We had my bouquet preserved and I LOVE it! Disney would not handle transferring it over so we worked with the Contemporary concierge/bell desk and Keepsake directly. We were so worried about it that we confirmed with the bell desk that afternoon that they had picked up the bouquet - Im glad we did now having read this.
 
I too hope Toni gets the right bouquet!

As for me, I am only left with the beautiful wedding pictures from my wedding. I so wanted my bouquet to turn out like the ones on their website.
 
They asked me to send them pictures of it which I refuse to do. I know they will just recreate it and that's not what I want. I can recreate my own for less money. I can't believe a company that is recommended by Disney acts that way. Plus they never call me back. I leave messages and never get a phone call unless its to tell me I need to set up my consultation and that I have to be charged a storage fee! They are insane.
 
Oh Toni that is so ridiculous. I hope they find your bouquet and if they can't I am sure you could do an awesome recreation on your own with silks. You did so many awesome crafty things for the wedding :goodvibes

That is so true, I was charged storage fees because they claimed I never mailed in the invitation to include in the keepsake. I actually put two in the same box my flowers were picked up in. They apologized for the "misunderstanding"
My little sister is getting married in June, but is having her flowers preserved by Heller and Reid. I just hope she does not go through the same things I've been put through! Toni I would ask them to email you a picture of the flowers they had under your name. And I wouldn't want them to recreate the bouquet...it's not the same.
 
That's horrible!

How can they charge you a storage fee if they don't have your bouquet? What are they 'storing' ?
