Just a few questions...pins, studios restaurant recommendations?

Hey everyone! I have a few questions...

1) what is the best place to find pins? Is there a way to know where to look for a specific pin? I've never bought pins in DLP, just in DL and on DCL. For example, I would love the Halloween booster set and the Tinker Bell Halloween pin that were released in September; where should I look and will I even be able to find them in October?

2) is there any good place for pins in the Studios or will I have to go to the main park?

3) where is the best place to look for CMs with pin lanyards to trade with?

4) can you recommend a cheap lunch in the studios? We've always gone over to the main park to eat but we're planning an all-studios day trip so we'd rather stay. I was thinking Blockbuster/en coulisse because they're probably cheaper, so if you can help me decide between them that would be great. I am, however, open to suggestions of TS/buffets if you can recommend them strongly or if there's some way to share or otherwise save €€€€€...

Thanks in advance!! :)

i'd go with blockbuster cafe over en coulisse - better range of dishes to choose from, and the meal deals are better value there.

for pins/lanyards/sets, unless they are limited edition, the main shop in the Studios has a great range (inside Studio One on your left hand side as you go into the Studios park).

You'll see loads of CMs in the shops, and marshalling before the parades etc, with pin lanyards to trade with you.

I should add that Cascadeurs is closed...so we only have 4 options. Disney should really open more restaurants...4 options is not much...will they all be terribly packed?

Wow that was fast! :thumbsup2 Thanks for the tips!

Counter service is ALWAYS crazy in Disneyland Paris. I know you said you wanted to stay in the Studios, but maybe you could go in to the village to Cafe Mickey? That way you could share pizzas (lots of people on the boards do this) to save money, make a reservation to save time, and meet some characters (if that's your kind of thing). Just an idea!

Pins released in September should be available in October as long as they are general and not limited edition releases. I'm sure this is right?!

Thanks for the idea! Is it the kids menu pizzas or adults pizzas? Do you happen to know how much they cost? Thanks again.

its adult size pizza, from the a la carte menu. They start at around 16 euros each (but they are huge). You can find the approximate prices on DLPGuide.com, they have a good restaurant menu section.
You'll still be at least an hour or so in Cafe Mickey if you choose to do that instead of counter service inside the Studios - I know it gets busy but I've never had to be in Blockbuster Cafe for an hour for lunch, including queueing to pay ;).

Go early (before noon) or late (after 2pm) and you'll be fine for counter service lunch in the studios.

It also depends what you want at lunch - if its just a fuel stop, go for counter service in the studios. If you want time out to relax in the middle of your studios day, book a table at Cafe Mickey for lunch.

I would also opt for Blockbuster Cafe, the flatbread and cheesecake were very tasty. We ordered one meal plus an extra dessert and hot item (flatbread or croque I think) and it cost us €16 for one adult one child. Huge selection at Blockbuster and not just the usual chicken nuggets and burgers.

I love spending the evenings at DLP when the shops are quiet going around the shops on Main St and in the Village pin trading with CMs. It was a lovely way to spend those evenings that you are too tired for staking out a spot for Dreams but not tired enough for bed. We had some lovely chats with CMs. While Dreams was on was a particularly good time for trading as the shops were empty.

The ToT shop had a good range of pins in the Studios.
Also keep an eye on the glass cases which will be near the pins in the hotel boutiques. I found a LE its a small world pin there that was thought to be sold out.

The shop in Frontierland is good for pins LE's are sometimes kept behind the counter.
Like Kizzabel I found a pin in the ToT shop when everyone at the park told me it was sold out, I'd given up looking in fact!

Thanks so much for the response! To be honest when I did my research I never even really looked at or considered the character meals at all---I just figured they'd be too expensive and it was better not to look to save money haha. :rotfl: So thanks for enlightening me! :goodvibes Even if we decide not to go there this time, I'm sure it will be useful in the future. ::yes::

Thank you so much for the tips! I think we will probably go with CS this time and save Cafe Mickey for my youngest's birthday (he adores Mickey) or something like that.

That sounds like a great idea. My only worry is all of the good pins will be gone by then! Haha.

You can buy from glass cases? They're not just display? :lovestruc That's good to know.

Thanks, I'll be sure to check that out! :goodvibes
