Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

I also heard there were plans to place an Incredibles ride there, but after Universal bought the rights to the rollercoaster design (being built for the Harry Potter ride in the castle, and also currently being displayed in Innoventions for sponsership), they couldn't build it anymore.

Yup. Reminds me I forgot to get the newspaper today -_- They had an interactive DVD for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in it.

It would have been awesome if Universal hadn't bought the rights to it... I don't think Disney is building it anymore.

Oh, yeah that's awesome too :p It's in a newspaper we don't normally get.

I read that on the News & Rumours baord. I remember a rumour about park tickets changing to incorporate 'next gen technology' to enhance guest experience. The main thing I remember from it is characters knowing your name, favourite things, etc. before talking to them.

That would be a good idea if it works properly.

I can imagine the looks on the little kids faces when their favorite character calls them by name.

It would be good, but obviously limited to face characters only. I also don't know how they'll integrate it. It would probably only be in areas such as Pixie Hollow, and the new Fantasyland expansion (Jim Hill called it the Fantasy Forest expansion in his latest article...) where you could be asked to scan your ticket and the characters could be given the information beforehand.

::yes::

The new gen technology could also apply to the queueless queue they're adding for Dumbo (which I hope is still open when I go in August... I haven't ever ridden it...)

It also sounded like your favorite characters could appear where you are, which would be extremely cool if you were so lucky to get picked.

:laughing: @ "Fantasy Forest"... oooohh Jim Hill.

This technology should be pretty neat-o, considering they're putting that much $$$$ into it.

Searching it on Google, it's also called "Fantasy Forest" on Screamscape. Either way, we know there's going to be an increase in foliage, and water.

At the D23 event in March in the MK they're going to do a panel on the Expansion.

If I could go, I would. (though it is the day Alice in Wonderland is going to be released, too....)
