Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

^I'm always a fan of someone who recognizes MK's lackingness xD

I love it, don't get me wrong... it's just missing something.

True...I mean...it's Walt's "park" and all...but some of the things are horribly outdated.

I mean, how many kids these days know what Swiss Family Robinson is?

It's not really "Walt's" park.. but I understand...

Actually, I like the Swiss Family Robinson, I think it was ruined when DL turned it into Tarzan's Treehouse.

I like SFR too, but not many kids know what that movie is...it's sad, because it's a classic movie.

The only thing that absoultely MUST go at MK is Stitch's Great Escape.

As much as I love Stitch, the attraction (so-called) stinks.

I have qualms with MK because its themed lands get so incredibly butchered because the guests don't care.

I'm not being rude, I'm just saying guests to WDW (one time visitors for the most part) are a different animal than the supposedly 800,000 APs (most local) of Disneyland who visit every week.

I agree!

I think they should have some plaques explaining the story for SFR a little bit, it wouldn't be too out of character, and the treehouse is actually pretty cool.

Agreed. SFR is a classic!

Though I have my personal squabbles with PoC...I cried on it when I was 4, and I'm STILL not a fan!

Yeah...I wish I didn't live so far away from DL!

Yeah...I wish I didn't live so far away from DL!

POC at WDW has like 8 minutes cut out of it...

I want to love it but I can't with an incomplete story!
*is a nerd!*

POC being Pirates of the Caribbean? Or not?
xD
And does POTC in WDW/DL have a drop in it?

yeah POTC.

DL = Two drops, because it has to go under the train tracks

WDW = one drop, just for effect

DL has about 8 more minutes than WDW, plus it's got the Blue Bayou (which Paris and Tokyo have, too)

Ah
How'd you know all this, Meg?
But I'm sure it's the Blue Lagoon in Paris?

Yeah it is.

Because I'm a geek and I literally know nearly everything about every Disney park...

Like I soak up this information like crazy.

It started with WDW, which I was a bit blinded by at first, then I studied DL, then it just kept growing.

I spend a ton of free time learning about the parks and the imagineers and future plans and past plans and... yeah... it's pretty crazy even by my standards.

Fun fact:
DL you go "back up the waterfall" at the end, dunno what its like in the other parks, but it doesn't do that at WDW

They put a Wall*E in Tomorrowland when that was released, too.
