Just a Dream Away- The Imagineering Thread*Are you curious, imaginative, dedicated?

That's cool. Being sprayed with tea perhaps? Fireworks in the ceiling like at Muppetvision?

Uh... Three Cabelleros? We already have one starring in the show.

Oooh good ideas!

I don't know much about The Three Caballeros... Saludos Amigos is the only song I know :p

But it would make a lot of sense to use them.

Yup.

Maybe they could make a sequel to Philharmagic with a different name, and different character. No need to replace the original though (but a new one would lead to that...)

Hmm.. true.. I would like more of a blend of Animatronics and the movie (re: Muppets).

After all, Philharmagic replaced the Mickey Mouse Revue, right? [actually I have no idea... *looks it up]

EDIT: Oh nope, it replaced the Fantasyland Theater... In TDL it's replacing the Revue.

It replaced a Lion King musical thing that used to be there. I don't think I ever watched it, but I do remember seeing it there, especially a memory of seeing the building when on the carousel.

Well, I guess you could take Donald as an AA as he slams into the wall. I feel sorry for those in the wheelchair section, as I see them try and turn to see it, but it's right above the section, so hard to see from there I would imagine.

While we're on changing Philharmagic, what about Soarin'? There's always rumours of Disney changing Soarin' to something going over Florida, over the USA, over the world, etc.

I quite enjoy Soarin' Over California as it is...

But I guess it was a "leeetle" more special for me, when my handicap mom transferred onto it eaisily, and her and my dad had a load of fun pointing out all the different cities. (I'm a CA native, and my parents lived there a good 10+ years before moving to Hiroshima).

But if they had to change it to fit Epcot better, I'd like to see a Soarin' Over the World.

Just 'cause Epcot is like... a World's Fair.

I meant Epcot. Haven't heard of rumours to replace it in DCA. If they did it around the world, would they choose well-known cities, or just amazing views? I'd rather like the latter, but the former could be the most true. Maybe it would give me the change to fly over London :p I would choose cities like:

London
Paris
Tokyo
Sydney
Sahara Desert
Nepal
New York
Rainforest
Curitiba

Maybe other stuff

The finale could be all the castles :D

Or like the beginning to the movies now, a mixture of all the castles...

Yeah. Maybe they'll just end with a view down Magic Kingdom to the fireworks.

I like the ending scene. It's all christmassy :-D You can see Mickey & Minnie waving up at you from a parade float. Probably all the characters wave up at you, but I only notice those 2 :p

I find it funny one of the reasons the Mount Fuji rollercoaster wasn't built in Japan, because the sponser of the pavillion (Kodak) thought it would remind people of the competetive brand (Fuji Film)

I just got back from WDW, and I got this book called The Disney Mountains, and it explains how the "mountain" rides in all of the Disney parks was designed, built etc. It has the concept art, blueprints, storyboards, models, and it tells the names of the imagineers that imagined it. It's a really interesting book, and I reccomend it to people who want to be imagineers. :goodvibes

As for ideas, I think there should be a Jungle Book ride in one of the parks (not sure if there is already). The characters are meeting in AK, and it has the characters and music to be an interesting ride. Not sure what kind of ride it should be though.

I got back from WDW yesterday. Maybe we saw each other in the parks.

Jungle Book could have a good ride. Maybe a show?

They could have a Phineas & Ferb ride. Rollercoaster simulation perhaps?

I'd love to see a Jungle Book ride. I'd say AK but I love leaving the characters out of that park as much as I could, though it would be fitting.

Maybe we did. What hotel did you stay at?

Same here, I think Adventureland would be a good spot as well.

Maybe it would fit into Camp Minnie Mickey, or do you have plans to scrap that area and turn it into Beastly Kingdom like it was supposed to?

I'd so love to see a Beastly Kingdomme! Though, the Yeti was supposed to be a mythical replacement.

Speaking of Adventureland am I the only one in favor of ripping out the carpets?

Maybe we did. What hotel did you stay at?

We stayed at Old Key West. Visited Grand Floridian, Polynesian, Contemporary, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Saratoga Springs, Port Orleans Riverside, and maybe others i've forgotten.

I'm in favor as well. Also, rip out the Triceritops (sp?) Spin at AK, Dumbo was the original, and the only one like it WDW needs.

We stayed at the Polynesain. But, our Magical Express bus driver got confused and tried to get us off at Old Key West xD
