Hi there everyone! I will be in Orlando after a cruise on a Sunday for the entire day and flying out on Monday. With me will be DH, and DS and DD both 5. I would like to do something fun but not very expensive (we will be just finishing a cruise). Any recommendations? We are not "fancy" so a cool place with bumper boats and mini golf would probably be fine but I just don't know where to start. I know I don't want to go to the hotel and try to entertain the twins after having them entertained by others for 4 days :) Any help or ideas are appreciated!

I flew down to meet my wife and kids after a four-day DCL trip last February. The plan was to spend two days at Sea World. They ended up sleeping almost until noon on the first day they were so tired. I'd under-plan if I were you; lounge around the hotel, grab a swim, maybe think about where you might go for dinner.

Think I'd plan on resort hopping. Go to the transportation center--I think its $13 to park now---, grab the monorail---a treat in itself---to one of the monorail resorts. Take boat(s) to some of the other resorts and check them out. Lunch at one of counter service places in any of the resorts would be fun. The Contemporary or Wilderness Lodge would be good for this. You could also go to one of the miniature golf courses on property.

Maybe you could just walk around Downtown Disney and let the kids play at the LEGO store and the little playground there, get an ice cream, watch whatever show is going on down there, browse the shops - especially the toy stores, get a treat at Goofy's Candy Company and then swim back at your hotel.

You'll probably need to rent a car so check for pricing on that.

I-Drive has Ripley's and WonderWorks, there's also a place called FunSpot that might be cheap.

There's also Old Town over on 192.

Disney Quest might be fun, but a bit pricey.

Downtown Disney can be inexpensive and you could definitely spend a day there.

Thanks for all the ideas. I feel like I have some locations to check out and plan for now. :thumbsup2
