Jury Duty....Again!!

I had a guy in my pool once who couldn't speak or understand English well. Both my opposing counsel and I agreed we didn't want him and asked the court to strike him for cause. The judge refused because she was convinced he was faking it. She hauled him in back with a court reporter and forced us to interrogate him. He kept looking at us like we had 3 heads but the judge wasn't hearing it. I argued that whether he really can't understand English or whether he is faking it to get out of jury duty -- either way, we don't want him. She finally let him go but she made him stay until the end when we had all 12+2 picked.

The only time I was sent a summons, it was for a different county than the one I live in. I wrote back stating that and heard nothing after that.

I had jury duty a couple of weeks ago. I had to check at 4:30 and Noon each day to see if I had to come in. I was called one day but wasn't selected. Got the reimbursement check yesterday -- $13.60.
