Jurrasic Park Ride

How wet do you get on this ride? Every video clip I see of it, it shows a ton of water but it really never looks like it hits the people in the boat. Just curious. Would love to ride it when we go down but don't want to get soaked eithor.

You can get soaking wet or be completely dry. It depends on where you sit, the way the weight is distributed, and the hieght of the people in front of you.

We've been on Jurassic Park many, many times, and we've never gotten very wet. Just a few sprays of water here and there. The only way to get drenched is if you stand on the bridge, and the splash from the boat send buckets of water over the side! Even though you really don't get wet, this is the BEST flume we've all ever been on!

You've been lucky then because I have gotten drenched more times than I can count. Usually it happens if I am in the first or second row but I've even gotten soaked sitting in the back. Other times I have gotten off paractically dry.

I'm glad we never got that drenched, I hate walking around wet! We've always been in the first or second row and hav never gotten very wet.

Of the three main water rides at IOA, I would say that I usually get off JPRA the driest. (It varies with Popeye, and I get the wettest on Dudley)

I have been soaked and I have come off very dry. It really does depend on where you sit. We were in the back, and I was in the middle seats. My friend was on the outside seat and got SOAKED and I just got a few drops....Now, Duddly do right, I got SOAKED on that ride.

I have been absolutely drenched and to make matters worse I was wearing a brand new dark red Halloween Horror nights t shirt and all the colour ran.
When I got off a couple of CM's came running up to me thinking I was injured as my legs and arms were bright red from the dye and it looked just like blood!

I agree with most of the others - you take your chances. We have come off this ride both soaking wet and completely dry. It doesn't even seem to matter where you sit - more often than not, we have been at the front. Although DH has just reminded me that the time we got the wettest was when we were sat at the left side in the 2nd row (that guy has some memory )

You're least likely to get drenched on this out of all the water rides, but it's still a possibility. I think they've pumped up the water level recently, because my last visit was the wettest I've ever gotten.

Oh, and if you go on a really hot day in the middle of summer, beware of leaky pipes.

Also if there's a lot of umm, larger people in the front, you'll probably get soaked no matter where you sit. Some friends and I found that out the hard way.

well , in my opinion , you shouldnt beleeve anything you see on videos ! for a start , i watched the video of jurassic park prior to my first visit and my cuzin slowed the video down at the drop , it looked like it went completely vertical and when i rode this ride the drop didnt seem that steep at all !! secondly , we sat in the middle and on the video , the people in the middle got drenched ( which is what we wanted lol ) and again when we rode , only a few of us got a few sprays ! thats all ! we rode several and each times in different places , none of these times did any of us get severly wet , there was 5 of us !

I think they've pumped up the water level recently, because my last visit was the wettest I've ever gotten.

Thought the same thing 2 or 3 weeks ago, I don't remember getting nearly as wet as we did.

I have been going to IOA since the first week it opened. I can tell you from lots of experiece you can get soaked on this ride. I have been on it at times without getting too wet, but I have been on it numerous times that I have been completely soaked.

Just was on it 2 days ago...did it several times...front seat...soaking, soaking, soaking wet!

Next time duck It's fun to sit in the front and duck as the splash comes over and misses you and hits the people in the second row.
