Jurassic Park refurb?

Finally, when is it going to be the JP refurb? I'm going to Orlando tomorrow and I read last Friday that JP is going to be closed Feb 14 or 16 or something like that... Anyone with more accurate information? Ripsaw Falls finally would reopens 2/13???

I was wondering the same thing, because both the 14th and 16th had been floated around here recently.

After a few phone calls and emails, I got a call back from Universal and was told the ride would be closing on the 16th.

Well, the info I got was bogus - we went to IOA on the 15th and it looked like the ride had already been down for a few days... boarded up, drained, etc.

I wish Universal was a bit more forthcoming/consistent about when rides won't be available when they're planned for refurbs...

Yep, it was down the whole six days we were there last week. Now I feel like we really must go back at the end of April, in the hopes also that the WWOHP will be open for regular folk along with the Grad Bash kids. I am starting to worry if the park is crazy during those days. Does anyone know?

You shouldn't see a huge increase in the crowds during those days but the crowds will increase in the afternoon and since Grad Bash is a hard ticket event, you have to have separate ticket to enter after 7pm..kind of like HHN. You will miss most of the crowds except at the gates as you're leaving for the night.
